That SS question I answered above, back in pre-season he wwould have been the clear choice there. Boy has he been bad. Skills aren't THAT bad, and xPX in particular says the power should be better. But this smells to me like someone who is being heavily impacted by the ball not flying as far this year.

NL 10 team 5x5. I have lost Imanaga, R Lopez, Strider (twice) J Steele, Alvarado & Quintana this year! And now AJSS!! Is Falter worth a shot? He is the only SP left standing! Or do I just grab a MR guy and hope for vulture wins and Ks?

Hard to recommend Falter... 3.47 ERA but 4.55 xERA, K-BB% in single digits, bad team context. I'd rather have, say, Randy Rodriguez or Abner Uribe.

He's pretty interesting. Chance to be a real Breslow success story. I think he can be a solid mid-rotation guy. Need to see some durability next. Let's see him take the ball 10x through the rotation and see what we have.

They LOVE Narvaez. Defensively and offensively. I'm sure he'll cool and maybe Wong will work his way back into a job share, but CN is legitimately the 1A guy going forward.

Thanks for taking my question. I’m in a 9-team, mixed, 5x5 league and looking to improve my offense. Does it make sense to drop Ben Rice for Augustin Ramirez? Also, would you drop Masyn Winn for Roman Anthony?

Yes to Ramirez for Rice. Winn/Anthony depends on who else you have to cover while you're waiting for Anthony. And being immediately useful in a 9-team mixed is a high bar.

Hi Ray, In a 12 team re-draft where we score QS and IP in addition to the normal stats, how would you rank these three SP ROS, Lodolo, Pepiot and Rasmussen? Is Rasmussen the standout choice?

Depends what you need, those are some very different profiles. Gelof could be really impactful in HR/SB, he might be my first choice.

Hi Ray!  Several years ago you wrote an article about how to evaluate your team at either the Memorial Day or All-Star milestone.  It had something to do with looking at certain skill indicators to see whether you had any weaknesses to address if you were leading the pack, or whether it was hopeless to expect a bounceback if you were trailing.  I haven't been able to find it -- maybe because it hasn't made the migration to the new site, or because my memory of it is too vague.  Do you know what I'm talking about, and can you provide a link to it if you can?  Thanks!

Doesn't specifically ring a bell, though definitely sounds like something I would write. Just about everything from the old site did make it over to the new one, though sometimes search doesn't find the old stuff that well. I just looked back to about 2018 and didn't see it in my own archives, but I'll look further this weekend.
