Probably tired of hearing about it, but all the games need to be played at Heinz Field! Kids play their whole life dreaming of playing there! Norwin and RMU- come on- WPIAL needs to wise up!!!

Well T, we've been through this time and time before. In a perfect world, yeah they would be. But let's be real. Money doesn't grow on a tree outside the WPIAL office. People have no idea how expensive it is just to open up Heinz Field for one day to play games there. To play six there, you need two days - and that ain't going to happen.

Who do you think has done the best coaching job this year?

You can't name one. There are so many. Guys like Plack at Peters, Tim Sweeney at Derry, Lance Getsy at Charleroi, Butschle at Seneca Valley. But coaches at perennially strong programs have also done good jobs. Really, you think anyone does a better job any year than Bill Cherpak. Can't name one guy.

I give North Hills basketball a lot of credit for "playing up" this year.  Does this mean they expect a good team?  Or just wants to keep rivalries?

North Hills will not be winning a championship this year but should definitely be better than a year ago and hoping to challenge for a playoff spot.

Charleroi - Southside Beaver game ... I have seen Charleroi in action over the last few years and are a senior oriented team and can be real explosive.  Not as familiar with Southside Beaver. If u were Southside beaver coach, how would u approach the game?

Hope your defense plays its best game of the year. Charleroi averages 48 a game. Maybe learn a little at what some other teams have done also. Charleroi has given up a decent amount of points to some teams. But at this point, you're not going to totally overhaul what you do. Just do what you do best, hope your defense steps up and hope you're close by the fourth quarter.

Do you think Clearfield will beat Cathedral Prep this Friday? Prep's team has a lot of injuries and kids have had limited playing time the past few weeks.

No. But I think this year is best chance for WPIAL team (TJ or South Fayette) to beat Erie Prep. They aren't as good as past few years - supposedly.
