Does Bobby Fadden go to his tree stand after basketball practice too?"
Mike White
11:39
Only after he takes batting practice for baseball, runs some sprints for upcoming track season and plays nine holes on a golf simulator because he played golf, too. Seriously, though, I think he will play small-college basketball.

Who's asking the questions here?
Mike White
11:39
The Riddler.

Would or could Brownsville join the OVAC (WV & OH conference) since they have to find games against teams from those states?
Mike White
11:40
Brownsville has decided to re-join the WPIAL. They told me that last week.

Tikey Hayes entered portal from Penn State. Is he on Pitt's radar?
Mike White
11:41
I would hope so. Question: Is Pitt on Tikey's radar?

Looks like Susie has the USC Girls off the mat. Will they make any noise in the post season or are they still too inexperienced ?
Mike White
11:41
With the balance in 6A and lack of an overly strong team, anything is possible in 6A.

11:42
Can the City League ever find anyone to submit accurate stats for their football teams?
Mike White
11:43
They have someone (Mark Lazur) who keeps stats for all City games at Cupples Stadium. But City teams never seem to keep stats for games that aren't at Cupples. One of the problems with City football, but they don't seem to care about it.

I'm going to miss The Riddler next football season.
Mike White
11:43
Maybe he'll come back as The Joker.

Moon at Lincoln Park tonight, Moon seems to be under the radar so far.  Only single digit losses to LP and at CV by 3  They also own wins over Central Catholic and Penn Hills
Mike White
11:45
Moon is good. They are ranked No. 4 by the Post-Gazette in WPIAL 5A. How is that flying under the radar? The teams ranked 1 and 2 both beat Moon and No. 3 Thomas Jefferson has 1 loss. So how in the world can you put Moon any higher. Sorry, don't think "under the radar" fits.

Aside from SF, Would you agree WPIAL 2,3,4A girls top team(s) can take a good run at states this year?
Mike White
11:48
What's a "good run?" Winning two PIAA games? Going to finals? There are really good teams outside of WPIAL in all three of those classes. Like 2A, has Kennedy Catholic again along with Berlin-Brothersvalley and Penns Manor. Good teams outside the WPIAL in other classes also.

Any word on why Eric James left Kentucky to return back to Pittsburgh? Wasn't he a North Hills kid?
Mike White
11:49
No idea.

TJ's 1 point win over a bad West Allegheny team has me questioning just how good TJ really is.
Mike White
11:50
Yes that was a little eye-opening. But then last Friday Thomas Jefferson blows out a good Peters Township team. Go figure.

11:50
Who are your way too early top 5 seeds in 5A on the boys side?
Mike White
11:52
Char Valley, Lincoln Park, Thomas Jefferson, Moon. Although I think Shaler, Penn Hills, Gateway, Franklin Regional all have a chance at 5 and maybe even No. 4, depending on what happens.
Lee Smith
11:53
What do you know about 1A girls and 2A girls? Lot of competitive teams but the bottoms are low.
Mike White
11:53
I think Neshannock is class of Class 2A, but 1A is pretty open.
11:55
Do you realize that two weeks from this Friday section play concludes in WPIAL basketball. Wow! I blinked and the season is about 3/4 over.
11:57
Hey, wanted to bring up one last thing. State football championships will be at Cumberland Valley High School for next few years. First off, that's a pretty nice place. Secondly, some have complained that why can't the PIAA play the finals somewhere else. Ahhhhh, Cumberland Valley was the only place to put in a bid to host. People fail to realize that places just don't want to host these games.
11:58
Oh well, that's it for today. Drink some hot chocolate, stay warm and still head out to a game this week. It will warm you up. Hey, it's January basketball weather in Western Pa. It's great. OK, that leftover chicken pot pie is calling my name. Everyone, be good.
