Look, they decided to go with this competitive balance idea in some conferences. I'm not saying I like it or not. But if you're going to go by competitive balance, then you are going to have some odd conferences, at least as far as teams involved.

Farrell should go to court as they were denied based on travel. How far are some of these road games someone really doesn’t like South Park in most sports.

Yes, the WPIAL doesn't look too good when it said it would not take in Farrell because of travel concerns. Then they make football conferences with teams traveling good distances. WPIAL sure is open for some criticism on that.

Bethel-Shaler in the 5A quarters, seems like BP may have mucked it up against a South Fayette team that revolves a lot around one very good player to pull off that upset, what’s your view of how the Shaler rematch plays out?

I don't know what happened. I saw Mike Plasko didn't even have double figures. That's shocking. A 34-32 game? How must that have been to watch? Ugh. I'd like to know what happened myself.

Hard to say. She told me a few times she was going to talk and then backed out. I know something went on with a player and wanting to remove her from team. From what I've been told and seen, other players threatened to quit. Then the coach walked away.

34-32 game? Wow. How was that to watch? Like I said above, I'd like to know what happened, especially to Mike Plasko, who averaged around 25 for South Fayette. Did Bethel do a great defensive job on him? Did he have an off night? Hard to figure.

Some coaching news this morning. Remember Chartiers Valley coach Brandon Sensor, who was put on administrative leave last month. It was all over an issue with what a player and parents did in game vs. South Fayette. Well, Brandon Sensor officially resigned this morning -- and commented for the first time. Sensor said, as was talked about number of times on this chat, Char Valley administration doesn't look too good in this. I saw “Zach Lowe” is curious about Allderdice this year versus last 10. The Blaufeld/clifford Allderdice team would beat this years by 30, at least. They sent Reed Fenton and Bryce Butler home with a 30 point loss - so it may be even more. Have you seen Logan Golle play? Is he even close to those guys? I know Rainey has been out. Oh - and Creighton and the twins would have beat this team by 60!

Agree. This team, especially without Rainey, certainly doesn't beat those really good Dice teams. Heck, they went to state finals.

Mike, with the new football conferences, specifically smaller ones such as 4A Section 1-How will those teams be able to schedule 6 non-conference games? Hard to schedule non-conference after about week 5 of season.

WPIAL said yesterday that they are going to have cross over games and would like to make all conference games at end of season.

So on one hand WPIAL promotes competitive balance idea which requires more travel from some teams like mentioned above with Quips but Farrell is denied entry to WPIAL because of travel concerns. Can you make sense of that one Mike?

They are Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 3 games Thurs., 4 on Fri. and 5 on Sat. They haven't set games yet. Waiting to see who makes it I think. Although I think they have good idea of schedule. They will wait to announce it, though.
