Does anyone in the WPial have a pray against Kennedy catholic?
Mike White

Would be shocking if Kennedy lost. But hey, Allderdice gave them a decent game the other night. Have to hope Kennedy misses shots. But Oscar puts them on a different level.

Allderdice sure exposed some weaknesses in that Kennedy lineup, but their size just takes over throughout the game.  You think a Roman-Kennedy final will draw over 500 in Hershey?

Kennedy starts 6-5, 6-6, 6-8 and 6-9. Good point about the final. But c'mon, man. You aren't impressed by Philly teams bringing 100-200 people. Thing about it is Philly Catholic League and Public League playoff games and championships, draw big crowds. They don't seem to really care about states.

Looking ahead to 2020.  It would seem like Butler will overwhelming favorites with everyone coming back right?

Most definitely No. 1 team heading into season.

But the WPIAL can choose to revert back to 4 classifications and send teams to the PIAA tournament for 6 classficiations. There's talk of this being done in football after next year.

Yes, you're right.

Mike, how long is the WPIAL signed up for the Pete for WPIAL championship games? I really loved the Palumbo center, and miss those days!

Don't know how long contract is. And I also like Palumbo. But The Pete is good. Please know that Palumbo can't handle some of the crowds for doubleheaders. For example, 6A doubleheader at Palumbo would've sold out Palumbo. There were 5,900 that night. About 5,500 Friday night. Palumbo doesn't hold that much. I just wish when new Palumbo is done the bosses at Palumbo would step up and bring the WPIAL down there for maybe semifinal doubleheaders. Like they used to do. But it's all about money. Would have to give WPIAL a good deal. I also would love to see Robert Morris step up and offer to host WPIAL semifinal or even quarterfinal games, if they can come up with a good deal.

What was up with NA's strategy at the end of the game?  I thought they'd drive the bucket in search of the easy two (possibly 3 if they get fouled) and then put Peters on the line. There was plenty of time. Instead they ran clock, called a time out with 2.4 seconds left, and were forced into a 3 with little time.   Missing foul shots in the last minute a killer...can't remember if it was 6 or 8 straight. Any thoughts on the strategy, or lack of?

NA first ran a play on their final possession - a flare screen to Martindale, which they had some success with earlier in game. Wasn't open. What's wrong with that. Then they called timeout. And Spencer ran excellent play out of timeout. Martindale got a pretty decent look. Looked like he got that out of Brad Stevens playbook. She missed it. There wasn't bad strategy down the stretch.

Wait one last question. I have to answer. Jeff Ackermann did NOT three-peat at Pine. He won two. Lost last year in final to Penn Hills. Just to set you straight.
