Is Vincentian closing the biggest release of talent into the wpial that they cannot block?

Well, I can't think of private schools closing that much in recent decades. But remember when Duquesne High closed. Those kids went to East Allegheny and West Mifflin. Midland (public school) closed in the mid 1980s. Some kids went to East Liverpool. Some went to Beaver. Lawrenceville Catholic won a WPIAL title in 1985, lost a WPIAL title in 1986 and then closed. So it has happened.

Fat Boy: Up 11 with 8 minutes to play and you blow it. That's coaching. He's overrated. Time for new blood. 2 WPIAL titles for a elite district like USC isn't good enough.

Hey Colts Corral, let me ask you something. Would you say that neighboring Mt. Lebanon is a pretty good district and that Dick Black was a pretty dang good basketball coach? He is 12th on the WPIAL all-time list with 620 wins and coached 35 years. Do you know how many WPIAL titles he won? One.
