Pitt is among his finalists. And he's working on reclassifying to come out this year. I guess that's still on.

Mike - is there any rule on the books that require a spring sport to end by a certain time.  I have always said how much better baseball and softball would be if they waited a month to start and played into the summer.  I know all speculation, but as you mentioned with hoops, why not play into the summer?

The PIAA has deadline dates when district championships have to be concluded. But it's not a "rule." In the case of this year, things can be adjusted.

I understand why beaver county postponed all spring sports until May 1st. Say things do return back to normal over these next few weeks and the PIAA gives the go ahead to play say the last week of April. Would you thing Beaver County would change what they have decided and allow teams to play or would those teams have to wait til May 1st to play. I do realize all of this is a longshot to begin with.

That's a hypothetical situation. I have no idea what superintendents would do. I would say it's very unlikely any schools start back up by mid-April
