Who did CV tick off at the WPIAL to get this schedule that has them going all over God's Green Earth for games ? Do schools have a say on where they're put or is it "we made the mess. you clean it up" kinda thing ?

Let me get a tissue for your tears. Chartiers Valley moved down to Class 4A this year because that's where school enrollment put them. There are three conferences. They had to be put in one of them. There is not a good place for them geographically in 4A. You would've complained if they put them in the conference with Armstrong, Greensburg Salem, Indiana, Plum. You would complain if CV was put in the conference with Uniontown, Laurel Highlands, McKeesport and West Mifflin. So what would you suggest they do? CV is in with Montour, Blackhawk, Aliquippa, Beaver and New Castle. That seems like the best for them.

What is your thought of Phil Jurkovec at BC?  Will he elevate that program?  What is your opinion on his choice?  He was pretty high profile coming out of hs.

Phil will be the starter at BC. Yes, I think he can be very good. I think he will show his talents. He will kind of be a first-year player because he sat for two years at NDame besides some mop-up work. The kid has too many physical talents to not be good. Let's just wait and see. You just hope BC has an offensive line.

Pitt VB crowds relative to other Pitt Woman’s sports.   Pitt VB had larger crowds than Pitt woman’s basketball or soccer or softball.   Same I think is true at PSU where Woman’s VB sellout quite frequently.

Played AAU girls hoops this weekend at Spooky Nook-Had to be 500 plus people in the building...No adherence to the no more than 25 people rule....Let them play and Watch!

As I said many times, what has gone on with crowds at youth baseball, travel baseball, AAU basketball is hard to figure.

They are not required to wear them when playing. Those not in a game, standing on the sidelines, are supposed to put mask on while on sidelines.

The Varsity Xtra video show has been postponed for right now. Some things dealing with COVID-19 that prevent us from doing it right now. But may I announce a new venture? We are starting a high school podcast - once a week. High School Huddle podcast. Myself and my two partners in crime Brad Everett and Steve Rotstein will handle the show. First one should be up and going later this week. Maybe we can make it worthwhile for you to listen.
