I read your article about the Imani situation.  It seems like the WPIAL and PIAA needs to once and for all need to put a stop to the blatant recruiting and rule breaking.  They are made a mockery of by the way Imani has run their program. Can they suspend the entire program for a period of time or just athletes and coaches? Defending themselves by claiming race is a motivating factor in this situation is laughable with the amount of evidence that was cited. Shame on their "coach."

USC/South Fayette is an underrated five star matchup. Is 5a Allegheny the best conference in the WPIAL in a long time ? If not it makes a good argument for it

That's a pretty strong statement. When 4A first started in the 1980s, there were some pretty powerful conferences. But this Allegheny Six is great.

It's no secret you are a North Hills guy.  Do you have the scoop on what happened to James?  He transferred to a prep school basketball factory in NJ and rumors are things didn't go as planned and he left.  I know on social media he took a few shots at NH.  Was he able to transfer back to NH?  If so, how's that going?

Eric James transferred to St. Benedict in New Jersey, a strong program where Danny Hurley once coached. Eric left there and the last I heard he was at a school in Kentucky.

Hey Mike. Did you hear anything about the WPIAL overturning a win by Beaver in Boys Soccer against Keystone Oaks because the Beaver coach got a red card and didnt leave the premises. Never heard of that happening. Have you heard anything ?

With the kids from Imani and Baldwin being ruled ineligible for hoops, will the coaches face any discipline?? I mean if a kid is recruited it had to b the head coach or one of his staff that did the recruiting!!!

As I said, we shall see in a couple weeks. WPIAL director Seltzer said a few weeks ago that board will examine Baldwin football coach situation at October board meeting and decide whether to accept Baldwin penalties imposed, or decide to impose more. Will also rule on Imani, according to what Seltzer said in Post-Gazette today.

Regarding earlier question about current overall status of City League football and Westinghouse. Just a thought, but does the fact that Westinghouse is now an "Academy" mean that it can take in students from the entire city? This, in combo with all Wilkinsburg kids, could help explain how the 'House may be way up while so much of the city is way down. Plus, coaching staff has done phenomenal job, so no disrespect there.

(2) everyone knows that over 90% of the "offers" posted on social media are "fake news"... particularly for hoops with such a small roster and such a wide open transfer portal - unless a kid takes an all expense paid official visit and fully commits then its BS

Remember when Imani listed Virgil Hall and Bez Abdul (Baldwin transfers) as juniors two years ago, knowing fully that they were in their 4th year of HS? I do. The program is making a farce of our district.

Imani gave rosters to WPIAL and PIAA and media outlets for two years with incorrect years of Hall and Abdul. This was even verified with Baldwin, where they played before transferring to Imani.

There are lots and lots of questions, because most folks realize what a joke that place is. Bob Lombardi has been a complete 'zero' when it comes to having a backbone to stand up to these 'schools.'

They are doing a reveal of the brackets on KDKA for football. KDKA has become big with high school football and basketball around here. What KDKA is doing for high schools is great. I'm not sure what plans are for basketball brackets, but I would think KDKA would want to do the same thing, revealing them on radio and live on social media.

I'd argue the best part of the Keith Barnes story was that the Imani  "Coach" claimed he thought he could get a MEDICAL REDSHIRT for Brazil!!! I mean he is just insulting our intelligence at this point!!!

Yes, there is no redshirting in PIAA or WPIAL. He said to Keith Barnes that Nate Brazil missed some of his sophomore year with injury. Well statistics show he played all 23 games at Nazareth Prep as a sophomore and everaged 16 points, and had 20 in first-round playoff loss. So that's not really accurate.
