I have no idea about "The Dream's" status. If he doesn't play, OLSH will have trouble. If Burgettstown beats FOrt Cherry and Cornell beats OLSH, there will be three-way tie for final three spots. Tiebreaker points will decide third. Cornell can't catch OLSH in tiebreaker points. OLSH has 27, Fort Cherry 20 and Cornell 0. If OLSH has the most tiebreaker points, it will finish third. Then the system reverts back to head to head to decide between Fort Cherry and Cornell. Fort Cherry beat Cornell. So Fort Cherry would go.

I'd go six or seven. You can say what you want and that a conference champ should be in top four. But the Tri-County South's lack of success in playoffs is real and has to be factored into this.

Too tough to do on the fly. Have to think and go over state champion list. Plus, you have to decide whether it's best teams on their own level, or overall. For example, some of those Southern Columbia teams were excellent, but were either 1A or 2A.

Prediction on 4A football seeds for playoffs?

I think it depends on what happens in Central Valley-Aliquippa game. You can definitely make a case for McKeesport being No. 1 seed. But what happens if either Central Valley or Aliquippa wins impressively? I think I'd take Central Valley-Aliquippa No. 1 seed. Here's a reason: If you put McKeesport No. 1 seed, then I think Central Valley-Aliquippa have to be 2-3 (whatever order). That means they would be set up to play again in semis. I think you keep them on opposite sides of bracket. McKeesport would then be set up to play Quips-Central Valley loser in semifinals.

Many people miss it. The Voice called and asked if I wanted to be on their next show. My singing is really that good. I know my talent. As for podcast, the strike has put it on hiatus. Not sure when it will be back, but we'd like to maybe put something together in near future. It's a work in progress.

Don't know the big deal about playing WPIAL championships at Acupuncture Stadium. When the Jags and the Quips played at North A we got a game for the ages enhanced by crowded, full stands on both sides of the field...It was better for the fans, it was better for the players hearing the fans not muffled by 30,000 empty seats.

I agree. Title games at high school stadiums can be great. On other hand, title games at Heinz can also be great - for the kids. Seriously, there is a certain special feeling about playing for a championship there. And I know there are so many empty seats. But I've been on that field for games. For the bigger class games, there is still a good amount of noise. Noise seems to echo in there.

To the question from Burly boy. It varies. Sometimes it's both. During the season, mostly it's on the phone. But sometimes for a bigger story, I'll go see the kid or coach in person. But during the season, don't have a lot of free time to drive to a school.
