I'm struggling to find an interesting game Friday. Those two you mention above are on my short list. I think both West A and Ligonier Valley have punched above their weight, but are showing cracks late in the season against better opposition.

West Allegheny has some key injuries. I'd say Blackhawk at McKeesport, North Allegheny at Canon-Mac, maybe Highlands at EF (see what WPIAL leading rusher does against EF), even Char Valley at New Castle (see Marino Graham)

The disrespect USC has been getting is staggering. They can absolutely beat PT and I think they can hang with PR

OK Rodney Dangerfield. How in the world are they getting disrespected? They are the No. 3 seed. I don't know anyone out there who doesn't think Pine-Richland didn't deserve the No. 1 seed. And I think you have to admit that Upper St. Clair and Penn-Trafford seem about even. Someone had to be No. 2. You could probably flip a coin on them. And really, is there any difference between 2 and 3, anyway. I mean, if thinks go according to seeds, they will meet in semifinals. If seeds hold up, Penn-Trafford plays TJ and USC plays Woodland Hills. That's no bargain either way. Plus, it keeps teams away from playing conference foes in quarterfinals. Let's stop with the disrepect card.

So a friend of mine whose son plays at Solanco in Lancaster Co says they do the seeding on computer. Does the WPIAL do anything like that or is it a group of ADs making the call. Doesn't seem fair that way because ADs can have biases

WPIAL football committee makes calls. But only time opinions come in are for wild card teams, and seedings. However, I don't think a computer would be horrible. But NCAA tourney doesn't base it on a computer.

C'mon, man. Are you serious? Chartiers Valley was 4-1 in conference. New Castle 3-1. New Castle beat pretty three good teams that were 7-3, 6-3, 8-2 and lost 26-21 to the No. 1 seed in 4A. Chartiers Valley beat teams that were 2-8, 3-6, 4-6, 4-6, 5-5, 4-6. Enough said.

Thanks...good idea. I think I'll do McKeesport. I can't see a Spell and Robinson any time.    I'm anxious to see how a McKeesport that passes a bit looks.  The running game just needs them to pass well enough to keep the d honest and the safeties and corners from aggressively selling out on the run.
