Brady Mayo was back for the final regular season game against Avonworth. I was there. He looked fine. Played offense and defense. I would think he'd be fine for basketball.

The PG missed the mark with the athlete of the week this week. The kid from Mars had a great football game, but the CC runner from Mohawk won his second consecutive STATE championship. The Schoedel kid from Mohawk was robbed.

hey Mike, can you please tell me anything about Trey Schacter from allderdice. He is claiming to have multiple division one offers. Have you seen him play?

I saw Allderdice play last year, but I don't remember him. He wasn't a starter. Yes, he's supposed to have a couple offers. But I'd really like to see a kid just be a starter for his high school team before I project him as a Division I college player. But who knows. Maybe he is that good. Let's wait and see this year.

That's not what I meant. I was referring to more of a state / regional ranking ...is he a 3 Star ? is he a PSAC guy or could he FCS ? You guys do great job....I guess it comes down to no high profile offers like some other wpial running backs ...Reminds me of the RB from Armstrong several years ago

I have not see Ellwood City's Palmer-McCane in person. Only some highlights of him. Sorry. He's no Zane Dudek from Armstrong. And no, I don't think Palmer-McCane is a 3-star guy. Very good high school running back, though.

Bethel vs. Woody, Penn Hills at USC, Penn-Trafford at Peters, Mars at McKeesport, Highlands vs. Imani, Avonworth at Beaver, North Catholic at EF, South Allegheny at Ellwood, GCC and Jeannette. How's that?

Woody isn't nearly as good as Bethel Park. It will be apparent Friday. I like USC a lot, but I think Penn Hills is a very tough out. I would not look forward to playing them Penn Hills is physical with a very good defense. The rb/lb is a stud.

If Central Catholic plays NA again. What do you think? I have CC with a slight edge, but close to 50/50. NA has settled on a qb now and Brinkley grew a lot in that Pine Richland game. I wish NA hadn't lost their stud rb/lb, tho. By the way, the sophomore rb/lb for Upper St Clair is a stud. He's physical, has good size, and goes after it. Any idea if he has any college offers?

No idea about USC RB. Central and NA could definitely be close. NA QB struggled last game. But Central defense had something to do with that. I still would go with Central. NA losing Liam Flaherty for season really hurts.
