Last year, boys section 2-4A had all qualifying teams as the top four seeds in the playoffs. Do you see any of these "power sections" dominating the top seeds in this year's tournaments?

Section 2 could very well have top three seeds again this year - Quaker Valley, Ambridge and New Castle. No other section will have top three.

i was at the Mars game last night.  Why didn't Carmody touch the ball?  Shouldn't a major D1 player be demanding it?  No post ups from him.  I've seen 3 games this year and it is a 3 or a drive to the basket...no mid range game.    His first half was impressive last night.

He has a mid range game. I've seen it. But either a 3 or drive to the basket??? That's not bad to have. As far as him not touching it in the fourth, I agree. Two things. I think Allderdice actually did a good job in defending him and as I said before, Mars didn't exactly make sure he got some touches in critical times.

Tough call at this point. Saw 6-11 James Ellis for first time Friday, I love his potential. He will probably go JUCO route. But I'm telling you, he is a definite D-1 player. Birdie told me Duquesne is involved with him. If he goes to JC, they would like to maybe get him back here. I really liked the kid. For Dice, Jackson Blaufeld has been very good. And this Tyler Williams has been impressive. Didn't even start last year. Has been excellent this year. It's eye-opening how good he has been. Strong kid. 200 pounds. Really a good finisher. Those would be the top three. I think you have to wait and see what transpires rest of season.

What is going on with Cali Konek, I heard she got hurt?  Southmoreland Girls has been kind of up and down this year, I expected more from them.  They have several good players.

Yes she hurt her knee. Don't know severity of it. But apparently out for a few games. I don't know about rest of team.

Hey that's about it. Time to get working on a story, have bowl of my wife's great homemade soup, a 9th grade game and then Mt. Lebanon at Canon-McMillan. Everyone, be good.
