What country are you from Simon? And how did you become a baseball fan? We are glad that you are!
Simon Hampton
10:47
I'm from New Zealand. I was brought up on a heavy diet of cricket (and still love it) so when I moved to New York in 2017 baseball was a natural sport to follow for me
nerd
10:48
Tigers win prediction?
Simon Hampton
10:48
65-70
Reds fan
10:48
We’re in the playoffs in 2025?
Simon Hampton
10:49
I think the Reds will be competitive by then. The Cards are always competitive, and the Cubs and Pirates could well be strong by then too but I think there's a chance for sure

Are these the 2023 playoff teams? AL: NYY, TB, TOR, CLE, HOU, SEA. NL: ATL, NYM, PHI, STL, LAD, SD.
Simon Hampton
10:50
This is a pretty good pick! I'd maybe take the Brewers over the Cardinals, but that's a close one.
Curt
10:51
Chances Naquin and/or Voit make the team?
Simon Hampton
10:52
Voit has more upside in the bat, but Naquin has more positional versatility. Might just come down to who has the better spring, but I reckon there's a strong chance one of them makes the team
Machado
10:53
What will I do next year.  Dodgers or angels ????
Simon Hampton
10:55
Mets? Cubs? Most big market teams could be interested. I think the Padres will buckle and find a way to get him locked up though
Ghost of Chad
10:55
Predicted wins for the California Angels?
Simon Hampton
10:57
85ish. Like their rotation and think it's their best chance in a while to get Trout and Ohtani to the playoffs
Bulljive
10:58
Who ya like for ROY in both leagues?
Simon Hampton
10:59
Gunnar Henderson and Corbin Carroll

Can MLB force an owner to sell their team? How long will Cohen be allowed to spend freely?
Simon Hampton
11:00
I'm sure MLB has some language that protects them in the event owners do something that brings the league into serious disrepute... but I suspect it's not spending too much on players
11:02
Personally, I love what Cohen's doing for the sport. He's brought the fun back into it, and is an owner truly chasing a championship. Plus, it's not awful for the league if the Mets become the big spending villain that everyone wants to beat, kinda like what Man City are in the Premier League now
Yogi
11:04
Do you like flight of the conchords
Simon Hampton
11:04
Flight of the Conchords and Lord of the Rings are the two things our country is best known for!
Amir
11:05
Banning of the shift and a full season of health leads me to think that Max Muncy's OPS will be in the range of .950-1.000 for the season. Truth?
Simon Hampton
11:05
That would be an enormous season from Muncy. Wouldn't rule out a rebound this year, but not nearly to that extent

11:06
Any chance of a Britton/Orioles reunion after their bullpen injuries?
Simon Hampton
11:06
Sure, don't think that's an awful idea at all
The Rizz-o
11:08
Who on my roster do I think still has value as a trade deadline target? Or are we past that point in our rebuild?
Simon Hampton
11:08
Dom Smith could play himself into becoming a trade chip. Just about anyone in the bullpen.
Rangers fan
11:09
Rangers win prediction this year?
Simon Hampton
11:10
85ish. Think there'll be a few teams in that range in the division. Picking the Angels to be the same, the Mariners a bit north of that and the Astros a little further above that.
Alan Wattage
11:11
if he opts out, will Machado get Trea Turner money or Carlos Correa money?
Simon Hampton
11:12
If he has a season like last, Turner money for sure, probably a bit more.
Yoshida
11:13
Prediction for Yoshida’s first season in the majors? Can he have a .400 OBP here?
Simon Hampton
11:14
.400 is a big ask. Predicting in the .375 range. Always interesting to see how a player like Yoshida performs coming across to the States
Mo
11:15
Will I make a move for pitching before Opening Day or wait until the deadline?
Simon Hampton
11:16
Think St Louis is set for starting to begin with. Maybe they'll add some minor league depth
NZ Rugby
11:16
Are you a rugby fan? I love watching New Zealand rugby when they air it here in the states!
Simon Hampton
11:17
Love rugby. The World Cup at the end of the year is going to be fantastic. It's probably the most wide open World Cup we've ever had
Bucs
11:17
Do the bucs retire McCutchens number when he's done?
Simon Hampton
11:18
There seems to have been a fair bit of noise on this front, but I'm on the fence. He's been a phenomenal player both on and off the field for Pittsburgh, but I kinda feel like retiring jerseys should be reserved for extremely special cases
Hugh Nicol
11:20
Do you think someone will break my SB record of 138 (in 1887) now that the bases are bigger and pitchers can't throw over to first as often?
