I'd put them in the mid-60s

What would it take for the Orioles to send one of their middle infield prospects (Westburg, Ortiz, Norby, etc) to the Dodgers?
Anthony Franco
6:30
Swapping an upper level infielder for a pitching prospect of similar regard (something like Jordan Westburg for Gavin Stone) would be really fun, but the prospect-for-prospect trade basically never happens
6:31
I don't think there's anything the Dodgers would part with from the MLB roster at this point that'd get Baltimore to bite on any of those guys

With concerns of Nolas ability to shut down the running game and Campusano being a rookie, how concerned do you think the Padres should be about their catching situation, especially given the lack of depth offensively for the position, both in their system and in baseball as a whole?
Anthony Franco
6:33
It's the weak point in the lineup but not concerning to me given all the other position player talent

6:33
Milb deal? Maybe going overseas? What’s your prediction for him?
Anthony Franco
6:34
Feels like a minor league deal at this point. If he were going overseas, he'd likely have done that in November or December

I Snell worth extending? How much, How long?
Anthony Franco
6:37
Going to be 31 next year. Very good rate production but he doesn't work too deep into games and has only once topped 130 innings. He'd be a little under nine figures for me
6:39
He should beat the $75MM the Mets gave Kodai Senga and I'd take him over the Taillon/Taijuan Walker types. But he feels short of Gausman, pre-2022 Berríos and Ray who all pushed a bit past $100MM

Watched the pitch clock in AZ fall and liked it.   My only concern is big moments like game seven bottom of the ninth.   I would rather they allow time for the game to proceed at whatever pace it needs.   And thoughts?
Anthony Franco
6:40
If it came into play in the bottom of the ninth of a game seven, that'd be a disaster obviously. I'm generally of the opinion that every pitcher will be used to it well before then and it won't really be a visible factor by playoff time
Arizona
6:40
The DBacks have Henry, Jameson, Nelson, Pfaadt, Jarvis and Walston all "expected" to get MLB starts this year. Which of them are starters long term? Enough that some become tradable? Or does Arizona have a list of future bullpen arms like the last decade of their pitching development has produced?
Anthony Franco
6:42
Nelson and Pfaadt feel like starters. Jameson seems on the fringe of starter vs. relief considering the command inconsistency but there's enough stuff for him to be a mid-rotation guy if he throws strikes
Henry's a depth guy. I liked Jarvis in college but the minor league numbers have been rough, can't really count on him right now

I have a lot of rental pieces. Who may I be looking to move at the deadline if we’re in the mix in order to let some of the kids play? Seems like there is a chance to make some decent lemon pie out of some lemons??? Thoughts?
Anthony Franco
6:46
Red Sox don't have a ton of key impending free agents. It's Enrique Hernández, Adam Duvall, Adalberto Mondesi, James Paxton and a few relievers, while Justin Turner has an opt-out
6:48
Hernández would have appeal with a bounceback showing offensively considering how thin the center field market tends to be. Guys like Nick Pivetta and Alex Verdugo (each of whom are arbitration-eligible through 2024) could get moved this summer if the club's out of it
Paredes
6:48
How many AB’s does he get?
Anthony Franco
6:49
Isaac? I think the Rays will get him around 500 plate appearances if he's healthy. Feels like he's the main option at third base with Yandy Díaz kicking over to first
David
6:49
Do you think both Kwan and Giminez are the real deal or do you see some regression in either?  Maybe still the real deal but not quite the seasons they had last year?
Anthony Franco
6:51
I buy Kwan mostly as the guy he was last season. Giménez isn't going to maintain a .353 average on balls in play. I think he's more a slightly above-average hitter than the .297/.371/.466 guy he was last year
6:52
But as you said, I'd still consider that a "real deal" player considering he's also an elite defensive second baseman. High-end regular but not a guy I'd expect to finish in the top ten in MVP balloting again
GusterPosey
6:53
Do you think the Giants take a flyer on Gary Sanchez in case Bart just can't get it together?
Anthony Franco
6:54
Farhan Zaidi has already said they don't expect to add a catcher on a major league deal. Sánchez makes some sense on a non-roster pact if he can't find an immediate big league job somewhere else, but I'd guess it's Bart and Blake Sabol to start
Dave
6:54
Is the Cavan Biggio breakout coming or should Toronto capitalize on his good spring and trade him before opening day?
Anthony Franco
6:55
I think he just is the guy he's been the past couple seasons. Soft regular at second base or a quality bat-first utility type based on the plate discipline. Doesn't have a ton of trade value
Spencer Steer
6:55
Do you think I begin the season as the Reds starting third baseman?
Anthony Franco
6:56
I'd still take Steer, yeah, although there seems to be a legitimate chance for Christian Encarnacion-Strand to just seize that job out of camp
Crash Davis
6:56
Would the Rockies be better off right now if the still had Arenado, Story, and LeMahieu. Or do you think their rebuild is going somewhere?
Anthony Franco
6:57
I like their farm system a decent amount, although that's mostly because of the guys they've signed out of the International amateur market (Adael Amador, Warming Bernabel, Yanquiel Fernandez, Ezequiel Tovar obviously)
6:58
They could've done that with or without trading away Arenado and letting Story walk without receiving a compensatory draft choice. I'd much rather have Arenado than Kris Bryant as the franchise building block, although that trade was seemingly more about the relationship deteriorating than truly choosing Bryant over Arenado
6:59
So I think they're doing some stuff right and could be interesting again in a couple seasons but generally haven't liked most of what they've done at the big league level of late. Not trading Story or Jon Gray and extending the likes of Elías Díaz, Antonio Senzatela and Kyle Freeland just don't make a whole lot of sense
Alright that's all I've got time for tonight
Dan Haren will be on here shortly, so keep an eye out for that
