I'm a big popcorn fan.

Why can’t I build a good bullpen? Braiser or Barnes as the closer? Get ready for some sleepless nights!!

(Dombrowski is the Red Sox baseball ops prez, of course)

I mean...this team won the World Series last year.  The bullpen was pretty decent, to boot.  Doesn't Dombrowski get any credit for finding a guy like Brasier?

What’s your take on the DH for the NL? I’m against it but think it could really help some NL teams in regards to free agents.

I grew up watching mostly American League baseball, so I'm partial to the DH if anything. I think the "strategic element" it adds is a bit overstated --- the double switch isn't rocket science, after all.

Are reports of free agency being broken overstated?  Stars still got paid.  I think you can make the case that stupid front office spending is over and the players and agents need to come to grips with it.

"What do you mean, stupid spending is over?!" --- the Phillies

The MLBPA's issue isn't with stars not being paid, it's that the middle class of free agents is getting squeezed out.  Teams can also be "stupid" for not spending, don't forget.  Just ask the countless teams that are criticized for not landing that one final free agent or trade target, who then goes on to a big season.
And on that note, we'll wrap things up for tonight's chat.  See you next week, same time!
