Javy Baez
11:52
For a guy riding a hot streak like Javy Baez, how long a cold streak does it take for you to drop them? 3 games? 2 weeks?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:52
For him? Not very many
11:53
When Javy goes cold, dude turns instantly into ice
Baseball Sage
11:53
Any value in picking up any Yankees minor league SP based on all the injuries to the staff?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:54
Nah, not much worthwhile floating around currently
Morel
11:54
Thanks for seconding my Morel high ground. I just hate seeing a buy low opportunity without the right guy to offer...

Thanks! Hope the kid feels better. Whiskey usually helps.

That's why he's sleeping right now
Cade Horton
11:55
Am I worth a flyer if they finally call my number?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:56
Yeah, especially since he could theoretically slot in vs CHW next weekend
Ward of the State
11:56
Taylor ward or Trent Grisham, obp league, ros?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:56
Ward
Chris H
11:57
Canning or Cease?  Projections always favor Cease, but Canning has outperformed.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:57
Still Cease
which is hard to say as a long-time hater
but Canning is a WHIP failure just like Cease is

That the new Pope dances on the wild side?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:58
E pluribus funky cold medina
Lawlar
11:59
Worth stashing at this point? Service time considerations have past and he's not going to be ROY finalist without a Tatis on 'roids type 4 months. Suarez has to be on thin ice right?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:59
Unfortunately, I don't think they're calling him up without a locked-in spot
12:00
and $15 mil buys Suarez a lot of leash
obviously, they should ship Suarez and call-up Lawlar
so they probably won't do that
Re: Jazz

Thoughts on Agustin Ramirez’s performance so for? I’m loving his playing time, at the very least
Nicklaus Gaut
12:02
Its currently the best thing about him
but he really has shown up well so far

I named my team IL Flying Rutschman when I drafted him. But....is it time to cut bait and find a new pun to use?
Nicklaus Gaut
12:03
Nah, I say you keep it
also, I may be biase - h.s. mascot was the Dutchmen

There are two types of ROS projections. The first takes the pre-season numbers and pro-rates them based on remaining PA/IP. The other way involves updating the skill sets the player has based on some portion of what they are actually accomplishing (or failing at) in the season. These UPDATED numbers would then have the remaining PA/IP applied. I strongly prefer the latter. I can sort of see what sites are doing this by comparing pre-season OBP & SLG with their current projections for both, ignoring very small changes as being rounding errors. My league uses no counting stats but uses RCA and ERA separately (both being non-counting stats). Should sites still using the original pre-season skill numbers even be used when averaging several sites for a single number? Additionally, how much should YTD actual numbers be represented in my final guesswork? Last year you said that by the 3/4 pole, you would almost exclusively use YTD numbers. We will be at the 1/3 pole when I can next make roster changes. Given you mus

Ideally, there would be reliable ROS projection that uses a mix of both. Or, at least, if they do partially, let us know what the mix is
basically, I wish ATC would start doing ROS
