Nicklaus Gaut
11:01
Hello, friends
I'm fresh back from swim practice -- let's talk ball
Silver Bullet

Any hidden gems (Rookies) not on everyone's Top 100 list - You can point us Dynasty Players - Thank You
Nicklaus Gaut
11:02
J.R. Ritchie?
Tyson Lewis?
11:03
I'm not sure if that's the depth you're looking for but their two I like

Word on the street ur an aficionado of Birds on a Bat. ROS opines of (1) ex Redbird Edman & (2) B. Donovan. Thanks N.G.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:03
I don't know about aficianado
11:05
Edman has gone back to (mostly) normal after an insane April but is still hitting the ball harder, overall, than he has after a few years of declines. Won't be what he was early (all that power was not real lol) but he's still in a great spot for compiling plenty of value
Probably like Donovan more, even if it's been a rough start to the month
I've always been a sucker for both, though

Long term who would you prefer at 2B: Baty or Stott. Short term: McNeil, IKF, Baty or Stott.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:06
Stott by a lot for both
Keeper(ish) trade
11:07
AL Only OBP league with limited keepers. Degrom ($6) and HS Kim ($1) for Gunnar ($33)?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:07
Like Gunnar side more
Keeper(ish) trade
11:07
One factor is that the league allows "dump" trades (ie, particularly lopsided keeper trades) only starting in August, so keepers have added value at that point in the season. But my usual tendency is to add early rather than wait around.
Dear Evan Carter
11:09
Thanks Nicklaus! Do you believe Evan Carter is finding his late-2023 self? Only 22 and, most importantly, available in my league!
Nicklaus Gaut
11:09
Yes, he might be but picking him up probably depends on your league/bench depth.
11:10
Still don't see him getting regular ABs vs LHP any time soon so his value is way more limited in shallow leagues/bench
Roden Crater
11:12
Best OF in an AL obp league: Melton, J Clase, Roden, Haggerty, Loftin? (I think you picked Haggerty from a similar lineup last week, but his pt is down...)
Nicklaus Gaut
11:12
Yeah, can't go with Haggerty any more given how little he's playing
I'd rather have Melton
but Clase would be next
He don't wanna be saved
11:13
I cut Yariel Rodriguez and Detmers right before they got saves. Pick either up again?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:14
Not Yariel for more Saves
but you simply can't ask me about Detmers and expect a rationale answer
of course you should pick him up, he's going to be the greatest closer ever
just like he was the greatest starting pitcher ever
11:15
just not this timeline
Merry Dobbins
11:15
I was starting to fade Dobbins, but his line about never playing for the Yankees won me back. Where do you stand on him these days?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:16
Liking him more and more!
His poor dad got internet'd
Still a solid power streamer; I've been starting him lately on a dynasty team
Chris
11:17
How would you rank Robert, Nootbaar, Carter, Doyle, and Stowers?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:17
Robert > Doyle > Stowers > Noot > Carter

I’ve been demolished by injuries this year which is no fun. I only have 4 IL spots so who would you consider dropping out of Y Alvarez, M Chapman, Tovar, Nola and Ragans? This is just me venting but I’ve also had all of Henderson, Seager, Westburg, Correa, T Hernandez and Hays miss time on the IL. 9/10 of my top picks have already been injured. Bleh
Nicklaus Gaut
11:18
sweet jeebus
my condolences
I think Matt Chapman is your only option

Good morning Nicklaus … as always, thank you for doing these chats.  Do you think that Luis Gil will bring any value to the Yankees and fantasy owners this year?  How about Zack Gelof at Sacramento?
