I wish you luck!

I'd keep it simple with K% and the ERA evaluator you prefer most ( I'm a SIERA man)
buffy, the umpire slayer

So WWNGD? My final replacement draft is Sept 7 after the Sept 1 roster additions - albeit just one hitter and one pitcher. I am specifically looking for bullpen pitchers with saves not a category. My ONLY category is ERA and the league is AL-only. Asking about specific players so far ahead of this draft is a waste of time. What I should be looking for in low-ERA bullpen arms isn't. We have nearly a full year of data behind us and this year will be the plurality in data used in 2026 projections for initial drafts. I am thinking K%, ERA, XERA, Sierra and the like. I asked a similar question last week but may not have defined my league specs and how late in the current season this FINAL replacement draft would take place. I have just edged into 2nd with first already essentially determined. Getting 2nd is the goal. My hitting is solid so pitching disasters are the single critical concern.

probably not coming back before May (at least), so I wouldn't bank on much more than four months of mlb action
11:28
150 might be pushing it
On the subject of comebacks
11:27
Gerrit Cole.. reasonable expectation for next year? 150 IP?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:26
NO!
Will in Westport
11:26
10% of your budget … for Wheeler … NO!!
Nicklaus Gaut
11:26
never been a big Baz guy but it's hard to judge him fully until he leaves that home bandbox

Is Shane Baz a lost cause?  Both in this year and next?
Nicklaus Gaut
it sucks
11:25
I would have zero expectations for the real Zack Wheeler ever coming back
sorry, currently trying to actually find one
like any?
11:24
Do we have any successful comebacks?
Matt
11:23
What can we expected from Zach Wheeler next year?  Has any pitcher returned from TOS at his age and been elite?  For context, I'm debating my options in my 10 team keeper league with increasing costs each year.  To keep Wheeler next year it would be $26 out of a $260 budget (26 roster slots).  Its a H2H league with Wins, ERA, WHIP, Ks, and NSVH as the pitching categories.
Nicklaus Gaut
but I wouldn't love it
probably Albies?
11:22
gray for sure
Big AL
11:22
Thanks for taking my previous question regarding my playoff rotation. I can keep 13 players for next year. I have 11 decided. Would you pick two from these choices? Sonny Gray, Braxton Ashcraft, Profar, C Holmes, Albies, J Beck. Scoresheet league. Thanks!

real word
11:21
I mean, those splitting are rid-goddamned-iculous

Shane Baz home: 7.06 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 75/28 K/BB. Shane Baz road: 3.59 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 75/26 K/BB. Check back next year when they leave that bandbox?

11:19
the price isn't awful
kind of depends on your staff/how pitchers are generally treated in your auctions
Gore would be on the fence for me
11:18
I think you have it right - I'd keep Acuna and jettison Tyler/Spencer
Reynold
11:17
Deep NL-only keeper league. 20%+ inflation. Standard 5x5 roto, weekly trans, no reserves for streaming. $260 auction budget. Not planning on keeping M Gore at $15. Should I? L Acuna @ $1 (currently yes), T Stephenson @ $11 (no), S Horwitz @ $8 (no)?

11:16
I'd stay far away from Detroit
11:15
I like Walker the best of that bunch for the combo of talent+opps
David
11:15
Hey Nick-Saves is the category I can most make up crucial ground heading into the last month. Do we like Cade Smith, Ryan Walker, Denis Santana, or Faucher in Miami? Are we best to stay away from the Vest/Finnegan duo in Detroit? Thanks!
Nicklaus Gaut
but I apparently can't change it now, and it might be driving me crazy
11:14
I didn't change my settings, so I don't know what sort of sorcery is responsible
Also, apologies if you're also seeing the chat backwards from normal
11:13
I could see Rojas instead of Blaze but think it'd be mostly lateral
11:12
keeping House in, for sure
GBS42
11:12
Hey, Golden Bear. I need runs scored in my weekly NL-only league, and my 3B/CI options are sketchy. I'm starting Blaze Alexander and Brady House. Any reason to bench them for Miguel Rojas, Paul DeJong, or Pavin Smith (who might be injured now)?
Nicklaus Gaut
Miller is your best option if Uribe is gone
11:11
He's not but I would consider him so for fantasy purposes
