It would be tempting at $10 in OBP/AL but I would be hesitant
11:37
like the player
like the renaissance
but his value will probably take a big hit if he doesn't come back to New York

Should we be concerned about Keaschall weighing surgery on his thumb. I picked him up in my Roto league. My fear is not the surgery. My fear is he won’t have it and it will linger all of 2026. Thoughts?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:38
Read my mind
Like him a lot
and won't be worried at all if he ends up having surgery in the next month, or whatever
11:39
but I hate (hate) wrist/thumb stuff when the guy goes rehab route but all it does is end up pushing surgery off by a few months
Pitching Woes

I'm in a tough spot.  I need one more win and about 20 K's to move up a few points in my league.  I'm also barely in first place in ERA and if I can hold first place in a category I win $20.  I wanted to pick up one more started to help the push.  I have Rodon tonight and Suarez & Tallion on Saturday (maybe Sproat on Friday).  Best option is either Lucas Giolito on final day but worried Redsox clinch and he is saved for playoffs.  Or I can go with Kyle Freeland in San Francisco.  Freeland away from Coors was mediocre (4.36 ERA) but good pitchers park and hoping Giants play young guys with nothing to play for.  What do you think of my options?  Settle for third place and hope for that extra $20 or give Freeland or Giolito a shot and try for 2nd and an extra $130?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:41
I'm pushing for the extra $130
11:42
especially since the category you're trying to hold on to with a slim lead is ERA -- that's just asking for trouble.
Choose your keepers!
11:42
Ok Nicklaus, chose 11 with a bonus extra in case I win the League: BWJ, Altuve, Acuna, Bellinger, Carroll, Turner, McGonigle, Lile, Langford, McLean, Miz, Sasaki, Rogers (BAL), Webb, Gilbert, Chandler, Woodruff, Miller

One moment, please
11:44
Acuna, Carroll, Turner, Altuve, Bellinger, Webb, Gilbert
tough for the last three
11:45
given quality of hitters, I'd be okay with some young pitching
11:46
so, chandler
I said it earlier, and will stick to my guns: Rogers gets it
uno mas?
11:47
probably be between Langford/Lile
really like McLean
11:48
but he's a Met, so-ooo...

Mckenzie needs major surgery and he knows it but keeps trying to rehab it.  Time for him to bite the bullet.  As a Cleveland fan though, I am proud of our pitching factory.  Just waiting on the best name ever, Tugboat Wilkinson.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:48
right? Just do it, Triston
you should be proud of that factory
and it legit, might be one of the greatest baseball names of all-time
11:49
I mean, do y'all know about Tugboat?
11:50
He's a 275 lb (allegedly) lefty who gets lo-oooowww with his delivery
great stuff
and have I mentioned his nickname is Tugboat???
11:51
"Now starting for the Guardians, straight from the 1887 Cleveland Spiders, Tugboat Wilkinson!"

Also, one day we need a discussion for best fantasy baseball team names.  Being a Cleveland fan, I went with Kwantified
Nicklaus Gaut
11:51
Terrific!
11:52
That's the perfect mix of punnery + math nerd-ery

You're welcome!
11:56
Alright, it's almost noon and we're out of questions, so it must be time to go
11:57

I really do like doing these
