Hello, friends
I have a hard out so let's get to it
Wyatt Langford?
1:01
Have you heard whether anything specific is going on w/ Wyatt Langford, or is he just off to a slow start?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:01
Seems like it's approach issues
1:02
he's getting behind a lot, not changing his approach when he does, and having the whiffs you'd expect
his overall whiffs are down, but I'm specifically talking about when he's behind
Logan Gilbert trade value?
1:03
It’s rough being a Rangers fan and having Logan Gilbert on your fantasy team (keeper league)! Who would be a comparable SP to ask for in a trade?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:03
I wouldn't value you him any different than at the beginning of the year IE a top-five guy
1:04
ERA is up and K's are down but the underying things aren't much different

Matt McClain....you're breaking my heart!  I bought in after his spring.  Was it a fluke? Or is there hope in the underlying numbers that he will breakout in the games that count?  The number of times I've had my finger on the drop button....grrrrr
Nicklaus Gaut
1:04
You're not the only one friend
1:05
I'm still holding, but the clock is ticking
Jo Adell?
1:05
Is Jo Adell finally fulfilling his potential, or is he just a trade high/lightning in a bottle guy?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:05
both?
1:06
I do believe the skills have seen an upgradde -- most notably his general whiffery
1:07
I don't think he'll stay at 18% K% all year but his SwStr% is down and 86 PA isn't totally insignificant when it comes to discipline
But I'm always down to sell high, given his history
1:08
not to mention a .359 BABIP (career .193)
and the fact that he's actually chasing more than he ever has
and wouldn't take a walk if you paid him
Jordan Walker
1:08
yeah! how do you like me now! This is totally sustainable right? Right...?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:08
Umm, well of course!
1:09
The Cards got housed when we went on Monday but at least Walker hit a HR after I'd been hyping him to the kids all day
Dad = smart
duh
FAAB Pickup Options
1:09
Thanks for the chat today.

I have two roster spots available in a keep forever roto league. I could use two bench bats, actually, but I'm always a sucker for picking up a 'distressed' pitching asset as well. I currently only have Spencer Horwitz on the bench (he's gonna break out any minute - I swear) but I have Andrew Vaughn, Stowers, Victor Robles, and Nootbar on the IL.

My favorite options available are:

Oswald Peraza, Leody Taveras, and Brady Singer

I currently have Peraza and Singer as my top two, with Taveras the third. How would you rank them and should I even be wasting my time thinking Taveras can hit well enough now (I think he wants to make a fool of some of us..)?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:09
I'm with you Peraza, then Singer
1:10
Taveras is so-ooo gonna keep tricking people till the day he retires

With all the bullpen injuries for Texas, would it be worth going for someone like JoJo Romero?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:11
I mean, if you're looking for innings and holds, sure?
Dancin Homer
1:12
My two closers (points league) are Megill and Hoffman. It’s not great.   Should either be dropped?  Not much available in the way of replacements: Junis, Zerpa, Varland, Soto. Any worth an add?  Thanks!
Nicklaus Gaut
1:13
umm, not a great outlook
I'd definitely rather have Junis than either of them
1:14
and if you have hoffman, grabbing Varland isn't the worst hedge
Sultans of Swing

What's with all the walks? If every pitcher's committing them, what do we do? Lower our WHIP expectations and hope it's all relative across our leagues?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:14
ABS?
1:15
I do think, in general, umps are really tightening up the edges, epspecially for the guys who might've previously been "earning" those extra inches
1:16
and yeah, I'm lowering my WHIP expectations
Lets Go Mess
1:16
The Mets are a mess. They didn't trade Senga, Vientos, or Peterson, and now all 3 stink, killing their trade value.  Mendoza has lost the confidence of the fan base as a leader (and potentially the players) and Lindor's hitting, fielding, and demonstration of leadership are in the toilet - should/will they put him on th market?. They've got former manager Beltran in the FO as a special assistant, and it seems he may be "on deck" for Mendoza's role, but what can they do for player changes? Shake it up!
