I trust deGrom about as far as I can throw one of his remaining tendons

How useful of a fantasy player do you think Tommy Edman will be upon his return?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:32
Not very
1:33
waiver wire fodder in most leagues

Strider is set to join the team on the road against Colo. I should let that game pass before activating, right? What do you expect
Nicklaus Gaut
1:33
Don't you dare start him

Good afternoon, Nicklaus.  Thanks for doing these chats.  Are Shane Baz and Bryan Bello completely bad this year (as opposed to last)?  Would you recommend dropping them and trying to get Jacob Lopez and Patrick Corbin in the free-agent pool?  For context, as you might recall, I am in an AL-only, 5x5 keeper league.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:34
I don't think they're so completely bad that they're droppable for those two
friends don't let friends roster Patrick Corbin

When Cruz go on his 0-40 to come back down to earth?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:35
He has 4 HR and a 230 wRC+ vs LHP
I don't know what the hell is going on in the world
1:36
but a career-high K% and SwStr% (that's right - highs for EVEN him) says an 0-40 is right around the corner

4x4 AL-only. Please Rank Taveras, Lane Thomas, Cowser and Pereira. Might be my first Rank these players question.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:38
Cowser > Thomas > Pereira > Taveras

What happens in the Cubs bullpen when Palencia returns? Do they just shift down? I wonder if Ben Brown will ever have any fantasy juice? Have one spot to P spot to fill, is it Thielbar for short term, or is there something in Brown longer term? Or should I push big for JR Ritchie? Standard 5x5 NL-only Roto, weakly trans, no reserve, no streaming.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:39
Yeah, I think it'll just be a shift down
1:40
but Thielbar for the short-term should still bring you some value
Schneeman

My perpetual al only obp bench bat question. Who is it now? Wenceel, Persza, Schneeman, Eloy (?!) or Valera?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:41
oh, it's you again
just kidding!
hey, they're actually getting better?
kind of ?
1:42
Wenceel > Peraza >>Schneeman > Valera >>> Eloy

Are you on the Lambert train? Lots of k's in his 2 so far. Do you prefer him to any of the hot new call ups in the AL?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:42
I put him in the same bucket as the other recent hotness - a lot to to like, but young pitchers are a crafty minx
What a mess... I mean Mets

I have both Devin Williams, who was my 2nd drafted RP in round 10 and Senga who I picked up off of waivers but have not started yet (I'm giving him a try vs Rockies this weekend).    Both started off great and fell apart.  My question is do either hold any value for me?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:43
Value? Sure.
1:44
but with Williams more so than Senga
gonna have to do a bit of waiting and seeing with him

10 Teams H2H AL Only - Catcher (my weak spot) O'Hoppe, Caratini, Vazquez, Narvaez, Jansen or Quero?  Leaning O'Hoppe, but little confidence long term.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:45
I would lean Caratini, but it's a toss-up with him and O'Hoppe
1:46
like them both a ton more than the others

I have Raleigh on my team but this is the last year I can keep him.  I also have Carter Jensen and Rushing.  I'm going to try and keep all 3 for the season but assuming I can't, do I drop Jensen or Rushing?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:46
eek
1:47
Jensen
tough call tho

Help me, Golden Bear Jr. Who rides the pine this week, Baty or Doyle? If Doyle plays (not a given), he's at home and at CIN.
Nicklaus Gaut

rawr!
Gimme Doyle
