Hello, friends
1:01
Happy (almost) All-Star Break
Let's baseball!
Oh Say Can You Seigler
1:01
The Red Sox can try and trick me all they like, but I know that starting Romy Gonzalez and Anthony Seigler is not the same as having Roman Anthony.

Thanks for these chats! A Diamondbacks and a Mets query: Are the Mets more likely to extend C Holmes or trade him? And where's are the likely landing spots?
With P Smith out and Waldschmidt back, what becomes of Kepler's playing time? Can he/will he play 1b?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:02
You're welcome!
I'd say the chances of an extenstion are slim, to none

Astros
Jays
Kepler's PT is going to take the biggest hit
1:04
and while he could play 1B, I suspect they would go with one of the more natural fits
unless he hits his way into it
and if he does, they'll probably just ship him
Bench Pressed
1:04
Strategy Question: AL Only with a 3-man bench, daily moves. What would be your bat/arm breakdown?
I usually have a spare bat to swap in for days off and two relievers to keep in the lineup. But I’m finding the bats more interesting and currently have 2 on my bench, even though that can mean only playing once a week. Am I larding up the roster or storing fat for a good winter?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:05
In a vacuum, I would lean keeping the two bats
but it would really depend on the reliabity of the starters you have now

Better long term keeper value - AJ Ewing or Gelof?  H2H league w/ OPS
Nicklaus Gaut
1:05
ehh, that's really close
1:06
I think I'm still going Gelof, even if his floor is probably lower
but it's the fool who blindly ignores the power of Mets stank

In my effort to get these Titanic deck chairs juuust right, can you rank (or pitck a couple faves from) these AL Only OBP bench bats? Denzer Guzman, Anthony Seigler, Kahlil Watson, Gabriel Arias, and, why not, Tyler O’Neil? Thanks!
Nicklaus Gaut
1:08
where or where do we put all these chairs?
Arias > Watson > O'Neill > Seigler > Guzman

Do you think that Guardians ownership and management get a pass in that they build a team to compete for the title in the worst division in baseball, but clearly never build a team that can compete for a WS Championship?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:09
are you just trying to bait me into a giant rant about the Cardinals whole philosophy???????????
1:10
Cause that's a quick way to do it!
tl;dr
no, I don't think they should get a pass
That’s Sick
1:11
Do I trust JT Ginn to be sick (good) this weekend or will he be sick (vomit) instead?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:11
the latter
Noah and Drowning
1:12
Sat Noah Schultz vs. Boston and felt smart. What should I do with him against the A’s this weekend? AL Only but with a starts limit. Time to cut for a middle reliever?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:12
I'd sit him at CHW too
depends on the rest of your staff/starts left, but it a reasonable consideration
1:13
until he get control under, well, control, he's a hard option to use, even in AL only
Angels fan forever
1:14
Hi Nicholas, thanks for all your help! How would you rank for ROS, Kirk, Rushing, Jeffers?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:14
You're welcome!
And I always welcome a chance to pick Ryan Jeffers first
