nothing happened on the MLB business front while I was gone, did it?
definitely nothing criminal/nefarious, I'm sure of

Working in a keeper league and heading towards a first round by.  For next year, thinking of signing Benge to a 3 year deal, on the fence about Christian Scott or Delauter going that long.  Thoughts?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:15
Benge, definitely
don't love a three-year for either of the other two.
definitely not Chase
but I could be talked into Scott
Catcher ROS help

Who would you use for ROS (rank), Salvy Perez, Kirk, Jeffers, Alvarez, Jensen? I have Kirk right now, but I’m tempted to give Salvy a 2nd chance.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:16
Like I'm not going to pick Jeffers
1:17
although, I'm basically always tempted to give Salvy a million chances
but that can't overcome my general over-love of Jeffers

I'm in a desperate battle for frist place in my AL 5x5 roto league. The only thing that will make a difference is stolen bases. Who, of these dregs, will get me the most: Jorge Mateo, Oswaldo Peraza, Alan Roden, Taylor Trammell, Jose Siri.

I want to say mateo, but I thought he'd be playing more post-trade
and I definitley don't trust Siri's PT
gime Oswald

Thanks for the chat. Joining a dynasty roto league (orphaned team) next year with a 1200 IP cap, which seems to be about six starters each. At what point in the current context is a pitcher's k/9 too low for sustained rostering? The roster has guys like Robbie Ray and Noah Cameron that don't feel like needle movers with that IP cap. Thank you.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:20
honestly, I wouldn't sweat the innings cap that much
1:21
1200 is a pretty big chunk, so i wouldn't let it affect your K-evaluations too much
with that said, I'd prefer Noah

Looking at ERA only for SPs, who are the AL teams you would avoid your pitchers facing from here out in their stadiums? Same question but if your home park, given my current staff is one player from each of TB, SEA, CLE, NYY (Cam) & BOS? Would the list primarily be those teams who have scored the most runs?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:21
No, don't just look at runs
1:22
yes, good offenses are bad, but you really want to focus on the bad parks
and splits

Our final add/drop replacement draft is the first Sunday in September. After that date, it is pretty much sit and watch what happens. Is it reasonable to just look at a player's numbers from August 1 forward? What they did in July even seems almost meaningless for that final 3-week stretch run.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:23
Its reasonable if you're looking to grab any "hot-hand" lotto tickets
1:24
but I'd pay the most attention to the recent playing-time trends

Hi Nicholas, thanks for all your help this year, can keep two of these pitchers for next year, Taj Bradley, Bradish, Alcantara, Clay Holmes, Jax, or Klassen. Who would you pick?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:25
It'd be Taj and Sandy for me
but Bradish is right there
Crystal Ball

Assuming 2027 baseball, Reid Detmers is an SP ___ next year
Nicklaus Gaut

SP1 obs
okay my long-term love-affair, aside
1:27
I want him to be in the SP2 range but the occasional bouts of gopher-ball serving continues to hold back my long-term optimism

Do the Pirates give a QO to Brandon Lowe and would he be crazy enough to accept?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:28
I think they will...and then hope he refuses
which I think he would
no one likes Perogis that much

AL Only obp bench bat time! Can you rank or pick a couple of Brendan Donovan, Jesus Sanchez, McAdoo, Brett Callahan, Leody Taveras?
