I know Davis isn't a good defender, but he can hit. I don't think the Mets are in a dire situation at 3B with him there.

I love seeing comments trying to convince others that it's good seeing pitchers bat. Tradition? Things change, bub. Pitchers come through every once in a while? Yeah... every once in a LONG while. Last year there were only 10 pitchers in all of MLB with a wRC+ above 50. And let's not get into the fact that guys like Edwin Encarnacion would actually have a job.
