I think they'll hang onto him, certainly. Pitching depth is so valuable this season in particular that the Phils won't move a rotation-capable arm.  I think he'll "mostly" start, but this season, the definition of a "start" would vary greatly.  I can see Double V pitch some four-inning or five-inning stints behind an opener, maybe

Cahill might need a bit of a time to get fully prepped since he only just joined a spring camp, so the Bucs could use him as a reliever/swingman early before building him up into a proper starter

Ohtani looked meh again today.  No command.  If he were to drop pitching and hit full-time, do you think he could win an MVP?

I'm doubtful that a DH-only guy would ever win an MVP unless he puts up really absurd numbers, and I really don't know enough about Ohtani's potential viability as an outfielder or first baseman to discuss a possible position change.

It should also be noted that you can't always put too much stock in spring appearances, so Ohtani could be just fine once the real games start

As good as Witt has looked, he has yet to play a pro game beyond even rookie ball.  The Royals have no reason to rush him to the Show.

If Davis rebounds at the plate, he could be a good trade chip for the Rangers at the deadline.  Long-term, I doubt Texas keeps him around.

Higashioka is the backup, and Rob Brantly is in camp as veteran depth.  Wouldn't be surprising if NYY looks to add another veteran type for Triple-A if Chirinos is indeed out for a while

The Jays are clearly very high on Kirk and they'll want to give him a good look at the MLB level.  Not out of the question that they still deal McGuire to make room

Why are only select games and players mic’ed up a year? I think it would be really good for the game to see your favorite players personalities and be that up close to the game.

Most players would probably balk at being mic'ed up on a regular basis.  Once in a while for a national telecast or something, sure, but not all the time.
