Kind of depends on how bent the Yankees are on avoiding the second and third levels of the luxury tax. And Cashman's the same guy who signed LeMahieu, who was amazing this year, when everyone was screaming that he needed to pick up Machado. So, I'm not going to doubt the guy.

In fairness to Moore, the Royals are rebuilding. They're not in position to be all that aggressive in free agency/trades.

What a year, not only a World Series victory but also reset luxury tax. Will they continue to spend big or bunker down into a mid budget team now that old Ted Lerner (owner) has his ring? May not throw in as much money.

The Nationals seem likely to continue to spend big. I'll be stunned if they don't re-sign at least one of Rendon or Strasburg. If those two leave (or if just Stras exits), they could easily chase Cole. They could also try to keep Hudson, Kendrick, etc.

I think they'll be in on Cole to some extent, but I'll believe a signing will happen when I see it. Zack Wheeler, at best, seems more likely to me. Even he might be too expensive for their blood.

Mazara because there's no onerous contract weighing him down, and he's still young enough that an acquiring team could dream on him turning into something. Probably wouldn't bring back any kind of haul, though, as he's been quite mediocre thus far.
