Shouldn't the Jays be aiming much higher than the Julio Teherans of the world? The next FA class is pretty bad. Don't they need to start putting pieces into place that will actually be there when they hope to be good?

I think every team should be aiming high as opposed to crying poor, but is TOR realistically going to contend in 2020? No. So, I don't see them going hog wild on spending right now.

A very good question. They obviously need CF help, but do they have the $ to spend? Starling Marte, Jackie Bradley Jr, Brett Gardner look like the top possibilities there, but all could be out of the Mets' spending range.
