Pretty reasonable deal for both sides, I think. MadBum's no longer an ace type, but 17MM per year looks OK for what he brings. Giants already got one bounce-back pitcher in Gausman, but they should be in the market for at least one more competent starter.

Why doesn't Teheran get more attention as a FA? I think people forget that he is only 28. Is he a fit with the Sox (hopefully as a second FA  acquisition to Keuchel)?

I think MLBTR had him around 2/20. He's not great, but he can competently eat innings. There's value in that. Not sure I love JT as a fit in CHI, though, because of the low groundball rates

It should be Ryu. Once you sign a guy like Rendon for 7/245, who the hell cares about other spending? Go for broke. Angels obviously need top-of-rotation help, and Ryu's the best option left.

I'm not for or against either of those teams, but Cincy won 75 games last season and still has obvious holes (SS, C, OF, RP...)

Unless they sign Donaldson, which is seemingly becoming less & less likely, I don't see a hitter w/ Kluber's upside to Texas. That said, it shouldn't be hard to find better hitters than what the Rangers ran out there at C and 1B last season (and at reasonable costs)
