Are you filming this chat, Bill?

What would it take for the As to land Mookie Betts?  Montas straight up enough?
Connor Byrne
7:12
Since when can the A's spend almost $30MM per year on a single player?
Ralph
7:13
Why aren't more teams after Corey Dickerson? I know there's injury history but the guy rakes wherever he goes.
Connor Byrne
7:13
Good question. Underrated hitter.
Connor Byrne
7:14
Forgot he needs to work a double shift at H & H.

thoughts on Indians adding Cesar Hernandez ?
Connor Byrne
7:15
Fine move. I expect a solid performance. If not, little risk in trying from CLE's perspective.
Ron Washington
7:16
As far as the Trop....."it's incredibly hard to get to."
Connor Byrne
7:16
Much like playing first base, right, Ron? (nice "Moneyball" reference)

Can the Angels land a good SP through trade without trading Adell?  Who do you think is a possibility?
Connor Byrne
7:17
Absolutely. Adell's not going anywhere. Matt Boyd & Robbie Ray come to mind, but I'm sure there are more possibilities.
Ken
7:18
Odds of Twins landing Donaldson - or they just being played?
Connor Byrne
7:19
Well, they and the Nats are supposedly willing to make 4-yr offers. I doubt the Twins are Donaldson's ideal landing spot, but if they make the absolute best offer, he'll have to consider it. He'd be joining a really good team.

How many years and with who does Ryu ultimately agree?

6 starters.  Who is going to be traded or bullpen?
Connor Byrne
7:24
Wacha's the weak link as of now, so put him in the 'pen

Are the Angels too cheap, uncool or CA taxes make it too hard to sign free agents? Would seem Eppler has enough to pick up an emerging stud SP without moving Adel
Connor Byrne
7:25
Didn't they just sign Rendon? Strasburg wanted to say where he was and it seems Cole wanted to be a Yankee. And the Angels reportedly bid about 8/300, but NYY made the bigger offer.
Braves
7:26
Would you rather have Lindor at SS and Riley at 3B or Arenado at 3B and Swanson at SS?
Connor Byrne
7:27
Good question. Lindor's the better player, I think, but Arenado's signed for far longer (opt-out aside). So, it kind of depends on whether there's a chance to extend Lindor.

7:27
Why overpay first Donaldson when Riley/Camargo are on board?
Connor Byrne
7:27
Because Donaldson's way better.
Mr. Kruger
7:28
You better have a damn good reason why you gave me a fake Christmas gift.
Connor Byrne
7:28
Is there a more underrated Seinfeld character than Mr. Kruger? Legend.

Isn't Alex Wood a good candidate for at least a one year contract with incentives? Lefties are usually valuable? For Angels, Brewers, Red Sox, Phillies, Padres and who else. BTW Its a Wonderful Life!!!  Don't be a Potter. Boo
Connor Byrne
7:29
Absolutely. Just about everyone w/ a hole toward the back end of their rotation should be in on that.

The team signing Donaldson will be the biggest loser this net season. Mark my words.
Connor Byrne
7:30
You could be right. Caveat emptor when you're signing a 34-year-old w/ somewhat recent injury issues for big $. On the other hand, Donaldson has been phenomenal when healthy.
Billy Beane
7:31
Is my team better in 2020 than last year?
Connor Byrne
7:33
It's hard to win more than 97 games, A's exec Billy Beane, but you've gone 97-65 twice in a row despite less-than-ideal rotations. Now, you're setting up to have a mighty good starting staff, so I'm not betting against it.

If your wife's going to get herself arrested after being repeatedly warned by security, I think a stand up dude gets himself arrested, too. Always take the wife's side.
