Man that's kind of a mess. We always assume guys can just move to first, but it's easier for an infielder than an outfielder. Fielding/throwing is quite different in the infield.
I don't see them tendering Duda, honestly. But relying on either of the other guys is dangerous. Maybe sign a righty bat that could platoon with one of those two or maybe play full-time if needed?

Flores could take that role to an extent but they may need him elsewhere. NYM will be a fun team to break down this winter.

Braves need a LH starter for next year...could Derek Holland be a possibility? Could trade for him if Rangers pick up option or sign him if not...

I doubt they feel they need a lefty starter. Many more concerns than starting pitcher handedness.
Otherwise a guy like Holland isn't a terrible target -- that's roughly what the Phils did last winter -- but he's a little spendy for ATL ($11MM 2017 option, $11.5MM 2018).

Unless he pulls out of it pretty significantly I'll guess he won't end up getting one. Haven't really thought about it carefully, though.

Last I saw he's waiting til the winter. Some guys will sign with teams so they have a place to rehab. But he obviously preferred to wait, which gives him more upside and leverage. Will be interesting to see.

Curious why all the talk with Cleveland is to get Suzuki (in-division trade). Why to Hundley? Pretty decent hitter for a C. Good guy. Rockies have a very good C prospect cooling his heels in AAA.

I don't think the in-division thing really matters much in this scenario. Hundley? Sure, similar general type of target. He'll be a FA as well.

JD ... dude is now legitimately one of the most-established power hitters in the game. If his 2017 season matches what he has done, he's a younger, more defensively usable Edwin Encarnacion.

I think they obviously felt he was ready for the exposure. If they were going to basically start him as the Opening Day SS next year anyway, then yeah, right call.

He's also valued mostly for his sturdy floor and being quick to majors. So go ahead and get it rolling I say. They probably think they have a decent chance at a .500 type of team next year that could challenge for postseason if things really break right.
