They'd be able to "afford" him. Whether they'd want to pay him one of the richest deals ever, though, or whether Betts would want to be there long-term, who knows.

I think they'll get Chapman done. I expect Semien to reach free agency a year from now.

The Dodgers have the money to pull it off, but Mookie has said he wants to test free agency. So, it would be tough to keep him off the market.
