I was leaning against that already; injuries have me feeling it's fairly unlikely. Not to say it's not possible, but man, they really need some guys to step up in the rotation. And they have to climb over at least a couple pretty danged solid teams.

Neck issues are a huge thing. If Kershaw is anything shy of 100% healthy all season, I would dare to suggest the Dodgers would have major rotation issues, mediocre depth or not.

In Kershaw's case, he's by far the best pitcher in the game, so I'm willing to take the probabilities and take that staff.

I mean, I would be pretty surprised if they legitimately viewed Motter as more than a true utility guy. Don't see why they wouldn't be interested in adding some pop from the left side, even if it's not a true first baseman. I guess if it let them carry the extra OF or RP it'd make some more sense, but that's a weak bat to spend any kind of time at first base.

Makes sense to me to have Taylor to push Eaton to a corner at times. And Drew can already handle all the IF spots. Plus perhaps there's more justification for prioritizing Difo's development rather than giving him a bench role.
