Dali's tears

Do you not like my art? Or do you not like the fact that my museum is in St. Pete and very difficult to get to:( Or is it you dislike the poor small market Rays?
Jeffrey Todd
3:14
I have no idea what this means but I like it.
Used to live next to a delicious tapas restaurant in Somerville Mass called Dali. I recommend it and all the other establishments at that fine intersection.

(Sorry where were we ...)

Which 2016 playoff team do you think will fall the farthest this year?
Jeffrey Todd
3:16
As against their regular season win total ... always hard to repeat 100+ Ws, so you could take one of those teams. But I think I'd guess the DBacks. They had a lot of things go well that might not this time around and dont' seem to have money to spend.

Does an Ian Happ for Raisel Iglesias deal make sense...with a prospect or two going to Chicago to help replenish the system?
Jeffrey Todd
3:19
At first glance I would think Raisel has greater value between the two. The swing and miss is kinda scary with Happ. But I could be wrong.
Also not quite sure why the Reds would be super inclined to get Happ unless they just felt it was good value. Not really their area of need.

Debate going on my Twitter feed right now.  One saying Gorkys will be the Giants OD CF.  Do you think they actually do this, or are they going to get a CF this off season?
Jeffrey Todd
3:20
Think they'll get someone. I'd take the field vs Gorkys.

I'm going to keep asking this question until it gets answered. What would my cardinals deal to the marlins for yelich, straily,Ziegler, and barraclough look like?
Jeffrey Todd
3:23
You're not going to like the initial trade proposals coming back, I can assure you.
Marlins are going to put a very high price on Yelich and Straily.

Would you rather have Reuben Tejada on your baseball team or a Reuben sandwich for lunch?
Jeffrey Todd
3:24
Both are occasionally satisfying and not conducive to one's long-term heath.
3:25
But I am sort of hungry right now so the latter.

If you had to guess, which team will wait the longest between right now and their next postseason appearance?
Jeffrey Todd
3:25
I was guessing Marlins even before the sale. I will stick with that.

What would the Nats have to give to trade for Sean Manaea from Oakland?
Jeffrey Todd
3:27
Not sure but I like the fit, esp since Rizzo and Beane are so clearly on the same wavelength with trades. It's easy to see Michael Taylor lining up, but that really requires believing the A's put a pretty high value on him (even if other pieces are also involved). Maybe Soto could make sense if Nats would deal him? I don't know. But it seems likely to at least be considered.
Think I mentioned that briefly in my Nats' outlook. It's the kind of deal they will at least be looking into, I think.
Okay, couple more here and I have to run ...

Hosmer and the Padres seem to have more meat to them then previously thought. 1) Would he be an positive considering leadership as well to the Padres? 2) What would you do with Wil Myers - LF or could he be a good trade piece?
Jeffrey Todd
3:28
Bit of a head-scratcher to me, honestly. Both he and Myers at pretty hefty prices? Meh.
3:29
Also don't know that they'd really find takers for all of the Myers contract.

Deep Dish or New Haven?
Jeffrey Todd
3:31
Frank Pepe in New Haven is the closest to heaven I've ever been. That pizza was life changing.
I have eaten at a few of the notable ChiTown spots and it wasn't the same kind of experience.
BUT I do love deep dish pie also.

Just joining so sorry if this is a repeat question.  Will Stanton be a giant? If so is dee gordon going with him?
Jeffrey Todd
3:31
No it's cool nobody has asked about Stanton yet.

Thanks Jeff! It was in response to you not answering my first question about what the Rays will do with their own now that Box is traded. Will Colome be next? It's not like you get a ton of questions or anything. I want tapas now😀
Jeffrey Todd
3:33
We'll end it here ...
3:34
I don't think the Box trade necessarily says anything about Colome. But I also think they'd be foolish not to consider dealing him. Not, perhaps, entirely different from the situation last winter, when they surely also listened. So ... my general feeling on the Rays is that they could still go in any number of directions. And that they really aren't so far from being a real contender in the AL as many seem to presume.
Thanks all!
We'll do it again next week, same time.
