My wife is an inner city school teacher and makes less than 40k a year. It would take her like 14 years to equal one year mlb minimum and I know almost baseball players don’t play in mlb.

Are you kidding?  The vast majority of players make less than teachers?  I cannot believe it!

Most baseball players are toiling in the minors or indy leagues for peanuts. That's all I was saying. The relatively tiny number who reach the big leagues, and then the even smaller number that really get paid, aren't representative.
My wife was (and will probably again be in the future) a teacher. Got nothing but love for 'em. Not like I'm getting rich writing about baseball here!
