This is not me rooting against the Cubs or anything. .. as I said above, just find it fascinating that so many teams in the NL are being held to a high standard by their fans. This is what makes it fun!

More Giants questions ..... why not go after Keuchel and try a 3 year deal for 48-50m.  Front load the deal with 30 paid in the first year and then trade him the first year for assets. The giants picking up a bulk of contract makes him valuable - so teams get 2.3 years for something like 17-20 m

That would be a rather risky strategy with limited upside, I think. I would consider the Giants an under-the-radar possibility for Keuchel were it not for the fact that they already have plenty of pitching on the roster, no small amount of it earning good money.
What I mean there is they're in the right spot organizationally to be a dark horse for a player like that. But it would make more sense if he was a corner outfielder.
