Connor Byrne
6:02
Good evening. We'll get underway shortly.
Bobblehead Ron
6:05
Do you think they might cancel the season. No fans in stands annd abreviated schedule sure doesn't feel like baseball.
Connor Byrne
6:06
I really don't know - does anyone? - but I'm less optimistic about a 60-game schedule than I was. Unfortunately, it seems the vast amount of baseball news these days involves the coronavirus. Even commissioner Manfred came out the other day and expressed pessimism toward playing a 60-game season.
Jesse E
6:07
When will you pick your division favorites?
Connor Byrne
6:07
I'll do it now...
6:08
Yankees, A's, Twins, Nats, Reds, Dodgers
Doyerdog
6:08
With price and Nelson out, do the Dodgers turn to Gonsolin or may as a starter
Connor Byrne
6:09
I expect both Gonsolin and May to receive starts, though last I saw, Gonsolin's not even in camp yet. Hopefully, he doesn't have the virus or been exposed to someone with it.
Kyle
6:10
If we do we baseball this year, should the Braves make an offer to Puig? With universal DH, Markakis sitting out, and Freeman testing positive there's definitely a spot and need.
Connor Byrne
6:12
I don't mind the idea. I'd rather have his bat in the lineup over someone like Alonso, Duvall, Riley, etc.
Mitchell
6:12
Any chance Lindor gets dealt even if the Indians are playing well? With the uncertainty of the future, does it make sense to deal him at the deadline for the highest value?
Connor Byrne
6:13
I don't think this is the optimal time to deal a superstar, and I don't expect it to happen this year. Maybe in the offseason.
Barrelman
6:13
Is there a chance Arenado doesn’t opt out of his Rockies deal if the market craters due to the mostly lost season?
Connor Byrne
6:14
I'd say the chances of Arenado staying put have increased considering the current circumstances, but it's pretty hard to make a prediction without knowing how things will look come post-2021 season.
Jeff
6:15
Would an outfield of Pederson, Bellinger, and Betts be the best in MLB?
Connor Byrne
6:15
I'd need more time to think about it, but it would be up there. You've got two MVP-level players and a 3-WAR type in Pederson, not to mention LA's other OF depth
Acuna Jr.
6:16
Will I win mvp in the shortened season
Connor Byrne
6:17
He'd have been near the top of my list over 162, and he still is for 60. For all we know, though, some random guy could get hot and steal it.
Mr Roctober
6:18
Any suggestions for an alternate name for Clevand's baseball team?
Connor Byrne
6:19
As a fan of alliteration, Commodores? Commanders? A lot of people seem to want the Spiders name to return, though.
That guy
6:19
think this will be the last chance for Chris Davis?
Connor Byrne
6:20
You'd think. I don't know how much longer the O's can trot out one of the worst players in baseball, money be damned. Sometimes you have to identify a sunk cost and say enough is enough.
Laffey Tuffy
6:20
Who would you pick for the SK Wyverns to replace Nick Kingham with of these three pitchers? Henry Sosa, Brock Dykxhoorn, Matt Harvey
Connor Byrne
6:21
I'd pick Harvey among that trio, but it's not that simple. Any foreign KBO signing has to go through a quarantine period and whatnot, so it may not even be feasible. Can't say I'm any kind of KBO aficionado anyway.
losbravos69
6:22
If you were to guess the first player from the 2020 draft. To play a mlb game who would it be?
Connor Byrne
6:23
I'll guess some MLB-ready reliever. For instance, he Dodgers picked someone whose name is escaping me at the moment, but the draft experts were saying he could be ready this year.
Might've been Landon Knack
Mr. Baseball
6:24
Orioles: More or less than 20 wins?
Connor Byrne
6:25
I'll say 19-41
They're bad and they have to deal with the Yankees, Rays, Red Sox, even the Jays in their division, and a few good teams in the NL East
Shopping Cart
6:26
Who is more likely to be re signed by the Yankees?  Lemahieu or Paxton?
Connor Byrne
6:26
LeMahieu's my guess. Fewer injury concerns, for one. Also an MVP candidate last season who can play all over the diamond.
6:27
infield*, I should say
Jose
6:27
What percentage do you give Mookie Betts staying in LA?
Connor Byrne
6:28
I'd need to think it over. It's always best to take the field over one team, but the Dodgers are better equipped to sign him than pretty much anyone.
Lilly
6:29
What is your favorite food at the ballpark?
Connor Byrne
6:29
Nachos
Buster Posey
6:29
do you think my friend, JTR, will reconsider his willingness to negotiate a Phillies extension rather than test the FA market this offseason (due to the crazy circumstances)???
Connor Byrne
6:31
Realmuto's probably going to do worse than he would have under normal circumstances. He has said he'd like to stay a Phillie, but GM Matt Klentak recently indicated it's on the back burner: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/06/phillies-gm-matt-klentak-on-pot...
To answer your question, I'd probably at least test the market in his case.
