I don’t know
7:31
Would you say it’s likely that the all star game and trade deadline get moved into August, or possibly even September?
Mark P
7:32
The ASG could quite probably be canceled altogether.  The deadline could go to September 1, depending on when the season actually begins

7:33
The NL east is quite interesting. Honestly what puts Atlanta over the top to finally win the WS.
Mark P
7:34
I'm not 100 percent sold on their rotation, or maybe they just have to prove they can do it in the postseason.  But besides that, Atlanta has a lot of talent, I wouldn't be shocked if they won it all this season.
Jack
7:35
Okay then. Higher ceiling, Larnach or Kirilloff?
Mark P
7:36
Kirilloff is considered the better prospect, so I guess I'll say him?
Cub Fan
7:36
If Memorial Day Weekend becomes the start date, do you see the schedule picking up as is or totally redrafted?
Mark P
7:37
It'll be redrafted entirely, in all likelihood

Adding onto the postseason neutral site idea. What if they just did the 2 wild card games, it's already 1 and done. Also it would be mad if the, say, mets and nats play in a random park, like the Cubs stadium. Just a thought.
Mark P
7:39
Here's my wild thought....no postseason at all.  Go back to the olden days of just one single set of standings in each league, with no divisions, and the single team with the best record faces the other league winner in, say, a best-of-nine World Series
I highly doubt this will happen for TV reasons, but it would be unique

While we all love baseball the commissioner’s office and the players union should be very careful before resuming play
Mark P
7:42
No doubt about it.  Safety should be the only thing on everyone's mind right now
Spring again
7:42
Could there be another spring training period?
Mark P
7:43
There will have to be, as players will need some of prep time after what is looking like a layoff of at least a couple of months
Trung
7:43
Lamet a top 10 NL CY candidate?
Mark P
7:43
That seems a little optimistic, though a good season from Lamet wouldn't surprise me
Andrew Friedman
7:44
Do I resign Turner and how do I make room for some of the kids
Mark P
7:45
(Friedman = Dodgers president of baseball operations)

If Turner continues producing in 2020, I can see the Dodgers bringing him back for another year or two.

Prior to last season Aristedes Aquino was made available to any team, resulting in resigning a minor league deal w Reds. A juiced minor league baseball gave him a very productive 2019 season resulting in a late season call up. August was off the charts, September was poor. Spring training was poor......which is the real Aquino?
Mark P
7:47
He's obviously not the next Babe Ruth, though I see him as a guy good enough to be in the majors but not as a full-time player.  That's just my observation based on a small sample size, of course.
Bravesasking about astros
7:48
Maybe I was aiming too high with Acuna, but maybe he could reach for a Starling Marte? Pache that is
Mark P
7:49
Becoming a Marte-caliber player would be a huge accomplishment.  Pache is a good enough prospect that Marte isn't a bad comp, but keep in mind that these types of very solid, All-Star caliber players don't come around all that often
DG
7:50
Any suggestions as to what to do while we wait?
Mark P
7:51
Over the years, I've kept a "to watch/to read" list of books, TV shows, and movies that has grown to rather epic proportions.  That'll be one of my main activities over the next few weeks/months
7:56
Sorry for the delay, had to update a post

7:56
If the season is cancelled, what happens with the astros draft situation.  Will they still have to give up their first round picks in 2021 and 2022?
Mark P
7:57
I would imagine the punishment would be adjusted to reflect the new situation if the 2020 draft did get canceled

7:58
If you had to pick one player from any team at any time, based only on having fun playing ball, who would it be? Why?
Mark P
7:59
To play alongside or just to have on my team?  I guess in either case, I'll just pick Willie Mays and probably be right

Chances of Lindor leaving Cleveland within the next two years?
Mark P
8:01
I would guess Lindor isn't playing for the Tribe in 2021.  Whether that means he'd dealt next offseason or at this year's trade deadline if Cleveland is out of the race, who knows
Dread Pirate Roberts
8:01
They should realign into no divisions anyway. Have as many playoffs as needed but get rid of the divisions.
Mark P
8:02
I wouldn't be adverse to this idea, but it would be tough on the West Coast teams for scheduling purposes.  That could create a lot of extra games outside of their time zone
Mr Red
8:03
What are the chances the Reds resign Trevor Bauer after the season ( if there is a season)? I really like his style.
Mark P
8:03
If Bauer sticks to his stated plan of only taking one-year contracts, I could see Cincinnati making a one-year splurge to keep him.  The Reds clearly are built to win in the short term.

Will you or anyone else follow suit with the Jeff Todd MLBTR videos? It’s kind of nice putting a face to the name we’ve all been reading from the past several years!
Mark P
8:05
For the time being, Jeff will continue being the face of our video updates.  He does such a good job that the rest of would have a tough time matching up!

If you're wondering what i look like, imagine a more handsome Hemsworth brother

Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Pebbles?
Mark P
8:05
Neither, not a fan of the Pebbles family of cereals
