Sorry for the delay. Just finished watching Luis Urias get his 1st three career hits. Should've been 4-for-5 with a HR but it was overturned. Didn't look foul to me.

Will ryan madson end up with dodgers
Jason Martinez
4:38
I think so.  About time they added their 8th inning guy. Too bad their 9th inning guy is struggling now.

Is Duda the lefty bench bat the Braves have been missing?
Jason Martinez
4:39
As good as they were going to get at this time. Veteran with power. Good pickup.

4:40
What will the indians do with putting Miller on the DO.
Jason Martinez
4:41
Cross their fingers that he's back to full health before the playoffs. And, ideally, before the regular season ends so he can get a few appearances in. I could also see them adding someone like Jerry Blevins as insurance.

Is Bobby Witt Jr the early favorite to be the #1 player taken in 2019 draft?  Or one of the 2 top college catchers?
Jason Martinez
4:43
One of the very early favorites. But a lot can change. Should be at least 5 guys in the mix for the top spot. Same as the last few years. I was at the Perfect Game this year. So many HS kids that throw gas. One kid reminded me of Doc Gooden, although I can't remember his name right now.
Luis Urias
4:44
am i in mix for starting 2b for pads in 2019?
Jason Martinez
4:44
You are already the starting 2B.
Fathead Newton
4:45
Would Kenley Jansen benefit from a minor league rehab?
Jason Martinez
4:46
Too late now unless they DL him again for his condition and then rehab him almost immediately before the AAA season ends. Problem is that MLB players don't ever think they need to go on a rehab assignment. And they rarely think they should go on the DL. But a rehab assignment is never a bad idea, in my opinion.

are there any starter out there boston could add with price getting hurt
Jason Martinez
4:48
James Shields would be one candidate. But with Eduardo Rodriguez returning this weekend and with a 6.5 game lead, it's possible that they'll just stand pat.
Riotmaker

Buster Posey to 1B, Joey Bart
Jason Martinez
4:50
I think Posey will be eased out of his full-time catching role in 2019 and Bart could take over as early as 2020. But I'm guessing Hundley (or someone like Hundley) plays a big role in '19 with Brandon Belt either being traded or playing more OF.

which 5 pitchers open the season as starters for Atlanta next year?
Jason Martinez
4:52
They have so much depth that it makes a lot of sense to trade 1 of Folty, Newcomb or Teheran this offseason. So the remaining 2, Gausman, Allard, Soroka sounds about right to me. Of course, Fried, Toussaint, Wilson, Gohara, Wright all in the mix for a spot.
Grant
4:54
Care to take a guess at Donaldson’s contract for next year? Any guesses about where he’s at two years from now?
Jason Martinez
4:56
I think he'll get a 3 yr-deal at around $60-$75MM for his ages 33-35 seasons with some sort of option in '22. Missing most of his walk year due to injuries at age 32 is going to cost him a lot of $$$.
Tribe fan
4:57
Does Josh Harrison make sense in cleveland
Jason Martinez
4:58
Probably not. He's not healthy enough to play everyday and the Pirates don't expect that to change in '18. Really depends on what they believe he can give them on a part-time basis.
Josh Harrison
4:59
How long until I get my wish of leaving Pittsburgh and going to a contender ?
Jason Martinez
5:00
You'll likely be a free agent after the season and you'll also get a nice $1MM buyout on the way out the door.
Jays?
5:00
What’re the odds the Jays make a deal—of any kind—before the deadline?
Jason Martinez
5:01
Very good chance they move Granderson (great fit as a bench bat in September) and Estrada should also have plenty of interest.
Blue jays fan
5:03
Estrada to Oakland? Jays pick up salary
Jason Martinez
5:04
It's a great fit however it gets done.
Brothbart
5:05
Any guesses what Daniel Murphy gets for a contract next year?
Jason Martinez
5:07
Maybe similar to his last deal (3 yr, $37.5MM). Or maybe a higher AAV if it's a 2-year deal (2 yr, $34MM). Heading into his age-34 season so teams will be a bit cautious.
Ernesto Figueroa
5:08
What percentage do you put on the likelihood that my Mets are competitive into September next season?
Jason Martinez
5:09
Chances would be very good for any team that had deGrom-Syndergaard-Wheeler-Matz in their rotation. Just need to stay healthy and upgrade their bullpen this offseason.
Chi Town Mikey
5:11
Patrick Corbin to the White Sox 4yr/ 55mill?
Jason Martinez
5:13
I think it will cost more than that for Corbin and the White Sox should be able to pay it. Closer to $15-20MM/season, I would think. And possibly a fifth year.
Mitch
5:14
Did Wheeler turn a corner in his career? Can he be a solid long term 3 behind DeGrom and Thor?
Jason Martinez
5:16
He's been more than that this year and he's only heading into his age 29 season. No idea if he'll stay healthy. I say the same thing that about every pitcher, but slightly more concern due to his injury history.
Brian
5:16
Are you surprised by Gausman’s success in Atlanta?
Jason Martinez
5:17
Not at all. Always had the potential to be a frontline SP. I also wouldn't be surprised if he took a step back in '19. Because don't trust pitchers.

Who's the Padres opening day starter next year?
