Yep. Rebuilding teams can usually hide a player or two on their roster. And it sounds like we'll have at least a few rebuilding teams.

Does Andrew Knizner move up to the #2 catcher now?

The clear "catcher of the future" now, but not necessarily the No. 2 catcher on the MLB roster. While I think there is benefit from sitting on the bench and watching/learning from Yadier, he still needs ABs in AAA. I think they'll acquire a backup for '19 and look to work Knizner into the mix later in the season.

Gyorko would seem like a good fit on the Orioles or White Sox. Or the Padres if they acquire their long-term 3B.

Nope. That's one good young hitter (Andujar) who might need to move to 1B at some point and 3 question marks for multiple years of a frontline SP.

Does the Goldy acquisition remove the Cards from the Harper discussion? Ozuna, Goldy, Carpenter are all free agents in the next two years; it seems a long-term #3 bat would still make a ton of sense.

Mets say no. I don't see Alonso going anywhere. I think they'd trade Nimmo and Gimenez, but that wouldn't be enough for Realmuto.

I'd say it's close, but not quite. Whatever it would take, the Braves have it. Just a matter of how aggressive they want to be with their trade chips. I can't see them not making at least 1 big trade.

Sure. I wonder if they'd be willing to trade Clint Frazier in that deal. I'm guessing the Dbacks could also put David Peralta and Steven Souza Jr. on the trade block so a corner OF spot could open up.

Sounds about right. Phillies are one of a handful of teams that could probably take on a majority of Greinke's contract.

Any team that will let Hamilton play regularly? I know the batted ball profile isn't promising, but I really want to see a change of scenery make him somewhat adequate at the plate so that we can see him let loose on the bases

I think he's most valuable as a 4th OF on a contender, but worth a rebuilding team taking a chance on as their regular CF. He should sign with the Mariners and they should replace their grass with astroturf. Top of the lineup could be so fun ... 1. Billy Hamilton 2. Dee Gordon 3. Mallex Smith
