Clevinger has options. I'd guess he starts in AAA or maybe the bullpen if they go with 8 reliers. Tomlin doesn't have options, so he's in. If Salazar is healthy, he's in.

I think he'd be fine with that. Probably not gonna play much in NY so I think he'd welcome it. Giants are probably waiting out some better options, though. I think they'd prefer a McCutchen or Billy Hamilton trade over Ellsbury. And probably Lorenzo Cain, if his price comes down.

This is my current projection for Giolito ... 10-10, 3.88, 156 IP, 141 H, 64 BB, 134 K. Maybe a bit optimistic, but seemed pretty comfortable late in the season.

He's had a few months and he'll have the entire spring to figure out what he was doing right with the Tigers (42 dominant appearances) and what went wrong with the Cubs. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned it around.

I love Solarte. Hits the ball hard consistently, especially left-handed (Smoak/Morales were the only lefties in projected lineup). Brings a ton of positive energy and would be a great guy to have around when Vlad Jr. breaks into the majors.

I think the Astros would give up Reed, but the Royals will want more for Herrera. Might not be that much more, though. Only 1 year left of club control and he had elbow issues last season.

My guess is that Cain wants 4 or 5 years at $18-20MM per season and teams are hoping it drops to 3 years and $15-17MM.

Oh yeah. He wasn't the top prospect in baseball for nothing. I think he can be a perennial 25 HR, 40 2B, 30 SB guy once he gets a few more seasons under his belt.
