Both are options. I'm not sure how deep Luzardo could pitch into the season. Only 20 years old and pitched just 43.1 IP in '17. He's making a case, though.
Max Stripling

Max Muncy and Ross Stripling are the DEFINITIONS of All-Star snubs ... right?

They were snubbed.  But reputation is also part of the equation when it comes to how fans/players vote. They are "breakout" players, but aren't necessarily well known yet.

If you had to rank 'em "most likely" to "least likely" for the Yanks to acquire by July 31, where would you put these 7: Happ, deGrom, Wheeler, Fulmer, Syndergaard, Hamels, Snell.

Happ, Wheeler, Hamels, Fulmer, deGrom, Snell, Syndergaard.

Should the Brewers focus more on acquiring a SP or an infielder?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:38
They can do both, but I think the infielder is more important. Even with Jimmy Nelson likely out until September, I think they have enough starting pitching to make the playoffs.
Dombrowski

Britton to Red Sox?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:40
He would a great fit with the Red Sox. And the Astros. And the Indians. The Dodgers, too. Those 5 scoreless outings in a row will only help his trade value.
5:42
I could've named plenty of other fits for Britton. Late-inning lefty relievers are valuable for a contending team.

What do the Indians do about their gasoline fire of a bullpen?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:45
Maybe the biggest need for any contender, in my opinion. Getting Andrew Miller back (whenever that is) will help, but it won't be enough. They need at least one other late-inning option.

Any Rangers gonna be traded?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:47
Probably Hamels and Diekman. Maybe Kela. Maybe Adrian Beltre.

Any chance I fetch Whitley?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:48
I don't think they're so desperate that they'd trade an elite prospect for a reliever. I'm sure the Reds or Padres would ask for Whitley, though.

Franchy can be counted on as part of the Padres' core but not Renfroe?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:53
Franchy has so much upside with the speed/power combo.  Renfroe has looked pretty good as of late and has huge power, but has a long way to go before I'd consider him a core player.
5:55
Gotta run. Same place and time next week.
