Jason Martinez
4:33
Spring Training is here! Actual baseball games going on every day for the next 8 months.
Desclafini
4:33
Should I be concerned with the tenderness in my elbow??
Jason Martinez
4:33
Considering that there's a chance it's something that keeps you out of action until at least mid-2018, you should be very concerned.
Donk
4:34
Would Panik, Beede, and Arroyo come close to getting Machado at the deadline?
Jason Martinez
4:34
I'm not sure any team has the right prospect package, but that one isn't even close.
Mo Vaughn
4:34
Over under 25 homers for Aaron Judge?
Jason Martinez
4:35
Under, but only because I don't think he'll spend a full season in the MLB. Still too raw to make the necessary adjustments over 162 games. I think he can hit 15-20 in about 400 plate appearances.

What does the la dodgers rotation look like this year with so many starters healthy?
Jason Martinez
4:36
Even if they can't count on McCarthy, Ryu or even Kazmir bouncing back, I think they'll be fine. Urias wasn't the top pitching prospect in baseball for no reason. I think he'll be their 2nd best starter, even if he starts in AAA.
Kevin Maas
4:37
Angel Pagán should be signed by now, do you agree? Where could he end up?
Jason Martinez
4:38
Yep. He had a pretty good season for the Giants. It was a weird offseason. I still think he's better than what the Blue Jays currently have in LF.
Van
4:39
Does Theo make a run at Cain if Almora and Jay struggle?
Jason Martinez
4:40
Maybe. I can see Heyward in CF/Zobrist in RF/Baez in 2B before that would happen, though.
Mo Vaughn
4:40
Any possible way Sandy Leon has another good year? BABIP was so unsustainable. Maybe Sox could make a run at Norris?
Jason Martinez
4:42
He won't be as good as he was in his less-than-300-plate-appearance stint from '16. But I think he can still be an above average hitter for a catcher. Paired with Vazquez, I think the Sox are in good shape behind the plate. No need to look for help anytime soon.

Do you see the Braves actually making an advancement this year? Feeling like the 76er's with all the promise we're hoping for.
Jason Martinez
4:45
Yep. With Teheran, 3 pretty good veteran starters and a few young guys ready to step up (Folty, Wisler), they are good enough to win 81 games. I'm thinking 81-85 wins. Bullpen should be fine. Offense can be really good, as they showed in the 2nd half of last season.

4:47
What could the Cubs possibly do to get even better that is realistic ?
Jason Martinez
4:47
Schwarber's back. It's realistic to expect that young guys like Baez and Russell will improve. Heyward could bounce back. As long as the starting pitching holds up, it's hard not seeing them win at least 92-96 games. Even though they've added some depth, if one or two of their starters go down with an injury, they could be in trouble.
Travis
4:48
Will Jorge Soler get solid PT as the newest member of the Royals this year?
Jason Martinez
4:48
A regular lineup spot is his to lose. I don't see anyone on that roster taking it from him.
Jeff
4:49
What are the chances of Gagne signing a major league deal?
Jason Martinez
4:49
0.0 %. Relievers who are coming off of great seasons had to settle for 1-yr MLB deals.
Joe
4:50
Moncada having a slow start really showing why he needs triple a experience, thoughts?
Jason Martinez
4:51
Yeah, he showed in his late-season stint in '16 with the Red Sox that he wasn't close to being ready. Might need another full season in Triple-A.
Casey
4:52
Are the nationals serious World Series contenders without a true closer and reliable first baseman and left fielder?
Jason Martinez
4:53
If they have to shuffle through closer options as the Giants did at the end of '16, it could hurt their chances. I think they'll be fine, though. That bullpen is talented and deep, even if there is uncertainty at closer. Most important thing for Nats, though, is keeping Scherzer and Strasburg healthy. If one misses extended time for any reason, I can see them struggling.
Zack wheeler
4:55
Do I make the opening day rotation ?
Jason Martinez
4:55
As long as you're healthy, you should have a spot. Remember how good you were when you were healthy in 2014?
Play Two
4:57
Does Chris Hatcher have any trade value to the Dodgers? Despite a 5.53 ERA last year, FanGraphs likes him for about 3.50 this year.
Jason Martinez
4:57
Only if he has a really good spring. He has a great arm, but has been inconsistent. There's a reason the Dodgers held on to him instead of non-tendering him this offseason.
Chris
4:59
If the Yanks split up Gardner and Ellsbury (I'll believe it when I see it), who hits 2nd behind Gardner and where does Ellsbury hit?
Jason Martinez
4:59
My guess would be Headley vs RHP and Castro vs LHP

Do you think Nick Kingham makes it back like Taillon has and gets a chance to contribute this year in the major league rotation ?
Jason Martinez
5:00
He doesn't have Taillon's ceiling—more of a back-of-rotation guy—but I think he can contribute this season. Needs to re-establish himself in AAA. I thought he was on the verge of MLB before injury.

Top 5 NL base stealers will be?
Jason Martinez
5:02
B. Hamilton, J. Villar, D. Gordon, S. Marte, T. Turner. Jankowski and Peraza could also be in the mix if they play regularly.
Alex
5:04
Does anyone win an everyday job in the outfield for the Dodgers? Platoons all around? Puig/Thompson/Gutierrez vs lefties and Toles/Pederson/Either vs Righties? Van Slyke in the mix as well. How many OFs make the 25 man roster?
Jason Martinez
5:05
I think Puig gets a chance to play everyday. Won't have a long leash, though. I think Cody Bellinger is a guy who can force his way to the majors by mid-season. I currently have Toles, Pederson, Puig, Ethier, Gutierrez and Enrique Hernandez on the projected 25-man.
