They need late-inning relief pitching. I think they'll get one of the best relievers on a non-contender. Not sure if it will be Brad Hand, but I can see them going after Herrera, Britton, Brach, Oh, Ziegler.

I think so. Seems like Asuaje has already gotten his chance. Pirela is getting a look there now and he's not hitting enough to keep the job for much longer. They could give Spangenberg some time there. But not really any reason to go past mid-to-late June unless they want to wait until '19 to start his MLB clock.

If they're not willing to let Vlad Jr or Donaldson get most of their at-bats as the DH, then any promotion in '18 is tied to Donaldson being traded or injured.

If they make a big move, I think it will be 3B. Their rotation is solid and they have Soroka, Allard, etc. In any case, I think they'll add another late-inning reliever.

Their bullpen and offense are good enough to make up for it. I think it's good enough to get thru the NL, but a frontline SP would help in the playoffs.

Maybe a bit worried about the fatigue/velocity drop, but it doesn't sound like it's injury-related. So that's good news. Just can't expect too much in his 1st MLB start back from TJ surgery. They should be overly cautious.
