Asuaje, Spangenberg or Solarte would all be great fits as the Angels' 2B or 3B next season.

Do you think the Reds should consider trading Billy Hamilton.  After all, he had been in the major leagues for about 4 years, he is no lead off hitter, and his bunting is dismal.  His only two assets are his defense and his speed.  What do you think?

The problem is that other teams think the same way. Not a lot of value. Even if a team believes he can improve (aside from a strong finish to the '16 season, he hasn't been a very good MLB hitter), they're not willing to trade much for a guy who they'll have to move to the bottom of the order and probably won't do better than a .300 OBP. Really depends on whether the Reds are ready to move on.

Why aren't people talking about me?

Other teams will be asking about you this offseason because Nats can't give you more than a super-utility role.

Who do you see in the Orioles 2018 rotation??

Bundy-Gausman could be a really good 1-2 combo if they can take another step forward. It wouldn't surprise me if they fill out the rotation with pitchers who aren't with the organization right now. I can see them signing 2 mid-rotation starters in free agency.

Do the Cardinals have enough to get into the playoffs?

I think they do. But they really need the Rockies' young rotation to fall apart over the next 2 weeks. They've held up a lot better and longer than I would've expected.

Do the Pads bring back Chacin, Richard and Wood, or go in a different direction? If new direction, any idea as to who would be likely?

Wood's salary is being paid by the Royals so I think he'll be there, but most likely in a bullpen role. Richard will probably be back with maybe a slight raise on his $1.75MM contract (maybe $3MM). Chacin is a maybe. I think he'll have a lot of interest and higher offers, so really depends on how much he likes it in SD and if he thinks Darren Balsey has been a big part of his success this season. He's a good fit on this team. I think they'll be willing to give him a 2 yr, $15-18MM deal. Don't think that will be enough in this market.

Gotta run. Thanks for chatting! Next chat, we'll discuss the Indians' 26-game win streak.
