Not if I was on the other end of the phone line. I don't value him all that highly as an overall player. Solid enough, but expensive and his fielding is looking brutal by the numbers.

If someone just offered to take over the contract, they'd be foolish to decline. Remember, the fact that they signed him means they offered more than anyone else (at least in his case - he said as much). And his value is obviously down at least somewhat, even if you buy into the idea that he was lucky last year and has been unlucky this year.
Not going to happen, in all likelihood.

I'm still not sure I'm ready to value Teheran quite that highly, given Gallo's very strong year at AAA. But it's the kind of deal they'd be after, and I can understand those who'd take the arm.

Maybe you look at him as some kind of modified version of Zobrist (better D at more premium positions, but with less upside at the plate). But I think full-time OF is most likely, with the possibility of shifting to the IF if needed.
And yes, if QO's are still around and he doesn't fall off too steeply, I'd say he's in line for one.

Look what they did with Souza. It's possible, sure. I haven't really seen any scouting reports, but recent numbers look promising and he was always considered a very talented guy.

Steve Adams thinks Adam Duvall is not an everyday player becuz he strikes out in 30% of his plate appearances, has a high BABIP he cannot sustain and is not a good defender in any position. Do you agree with this unfair assessment? (He hit 11 homers in May, has a .900 OPS and could very conceivably be an all-star come July!!!)

I agree with Steve. He has a long way to go to show that he is more than a guy with big power but limited on-base ability, etc. Might yet do it, but there's a reason he was available in the way he was.
