Steve Adams
3:12
Greetings! I'm going to pour a quick cup of coffee and we'll get rolling. Feel free to start asking now though
Joe
3:13
Doug Fister to the Pirates needs to happen, right?
Steve Adams
3:14
Not really. Fister's control has worsened in consecutive seasons, and he's down 3-4 mph on his fastball from his peak days.
I'd be more intrigued by any of Kuhl, Brault, Glasnow or Hutchison at this point.
Jacob
3:15
Who has a better shot at making any impact on MLB. Wright or Hamilton
Steve Adams
3:15
Wright
Eric
3:15
Twins are currently losing 13-0. Are they using spring training to let their fans remember what losing feels like in time for the regular season?
Steve Adams
3:15
Incorrect. They're losing 16-0. Matt Belisle just gave up a three run bomb

3:15
Like the Blanton signing for Nats? What do you think bullpen looks like on opening day?
Steve Adams
3:16
Love that signing -- maybe the best relief buy of the winter. Blanton was excellent last season, despite Dodgers fans lamenting his playoff performance.

Obviously plenty of teams had trepidation as well, but at $4MM I'm still stunned the price fell to that point
Angel Pagan
3:17
Why won't anybody sign me?
Steve Adams
3:17
I cannot fathom Pagan having to settle for a minor league deal coming off the 2016 season he had unless there's some sort of injury concern that hasn't been made publicly available
Andrew
3:17
Odor, Lucroy, Darvish - Chances 2 of 3 get extended?
Steve Adams
3:18
1%? I'll be shocked if either Lucroy or Darvish signs at this point
Jerry
3:18
You feel Jose Quintana stays with CWS till the trade deadline? Or dealt in spring training?
Steve Adams
3:18
Summer
Surprise!
3:18
Most people would be surprised to ___ team sell at the deadline, but you wouldn't?
Steve Adams
3:19
Maybe the Orioles? Their rotation is still so unappealing, and if Tillman misses any quasi-notable chunk of time it's even uglier.
Naddy
3:19
What's more likely: Braves contend this year or are they sellers come trade deadline?
Steve Adams
3:19
Sellers
Ricky O'Sunnyvale
3:20
What happens in LA if all of Kershaw, Hill, Urias, Maeda, Ryu, McCarthey, Wood, Kasmir, Stewart and Stripling are healthy? I assume Stewart and Stripling can be sent down, but any others?
Steve Adams
3:20
I'd say Stripling and Stewart are out, since they have options remaining. Wood to the bullpen. But... the odds of Ryu and McCarthy both being healthy seem... negligible.
Bob
3:20
Familia's suspension: 10.5 games. You taking over or under?
Steve Adams
3:21
Way over. Chapman range at least
Jamie Gum
3:22
Best free agent still available?
Steve Adams
3:23
Angel Pagan? It's pretty ugly at this point. Could argue Henderson Alvarez just as a lotto ticket, though I'm not hopeful after two years lost to shoulder surgery
Dexter Fowler
3:23
Do you think the cubs fans will boo me when I return to Wrigley? Do you think they should?
Steve Adams
3:24
Some fools probably will, but there's no reason to. He turned down way more money from the Orioles to return to Chicago and help them win a World Series. The Cardinals offered him 5-10x more than Chicago was ever going to. There's zero reason to hold that against him.
Steve Adams
3:25
Dog FIster was ... unfortunate, ha. I'm still partial to my own "Nationals Trying To Danny Espinosa" from a few years back prior to the trade deadline -- but maybe I'm biased
but turning Danny Espinosa into a verb was a truly great moment in my career. and Twitter had a great time with it
Travis
3:26
the Rays 5th starter is_______.
Steve Adams
3:27
They have tons of interesting options with Erasmo, Andriese, De Leon... I'll go Andriese to open the season, but I think De Leon will take it from him after a month or two. Or, alternatively, he'll step into the rotation when Cobb gets moved or hurt.

3:28
Do you think Huston Street will return to form?
Steve Adams
3:28
Not if he's still struggling to crack 90 with his fastball. He's never been a huge velo guy, but averaging 88.2 mph last season is pretty troubling.
Mile rizzo
3:29
What will my bullpen look like now?
Steve Adams
3:29
Probably still Kelley at the end of the game, but Blanton deepens it nicely. Solid upgrade over whoever would've won the final spot in the 'pen
Dexter Fowler
3:30
So what you're saying is I should get boo'd in Baltimore!
Steve Adams
3:30
Booing someone because they didn't sign with your team is silly in general. It's not like Fowler came out and said, "Yeah the O's offered me a nice deal but who wants to play in that joke of a city in front of those obnoxious fans? Screw that."

3:31
Why do you think that people consider prospects "busts" if they don't succeed in their first 80 ABs/50 innings?
