You think Longoria will have a year like last?
Steve Adams
4:09
Expecting his bat to be more like the 2016 version of Longo than the 2015 version.

Give me another prediction. What do you see out of me for 2017? Could I be this season's Kyle Hendricks?
Steve Adams
4:11
I get the comp based on the frame and lack of velocity from the right side, I guess, but Hendricks is pretty unique in terms of that skill set. I think Davies is what he is, which isn't a bad thing -- but maybe 180-190 innings of an upper-3.00s to low-4.00s ERA. I certainly am not picking him to flirt with a sub-2.00 ERA for most of the year.
4:12
Then again, I don't think Hendricks will come close to repeating that, either.

Repeat question from the Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla! What can we expect out of Steve Pearce in Toronto? full time at bats = career year?
Steve Adams
4:13
I don't think he's going to get FT at-bats, but Pearce was one of my favorite pick-ups of the offseason. Love the price. He's raked for three straight years when healthy now, for the most part, and I think he'll continue. You can put me on the list if I'm wrong.

Need ABs for Cron, Valbuena, Marte and Albert need to trade Escobar, any takers?
Steve Adams
4:14
I don't think you need to be rushing to clear ABs for Jefry Marte. And the depth is hardly a bad thing given Pujols' current foot issues. Trade doesn't seem necessary, and I doubt Yunel's value is especially high.

Which team does the Segura for Walker trade favor? M's or Dbacks?
Steve Adams
4:15
I liked the D-backs' end better since I think playing Segura at SS diminishes tons of his value, and his bat won't play as well in Seattle. But, I've said in the past that maybe I'm light on Haniger, and if that's the case, then I'll happily admit as much later this year.

Nunez and Hwang haven't looked all that good so far this spring, where as, Arroyo has looked good at the plate (as usual). Chances he makes the club and Nunez moves back into the super utility role?
Steve Adams
4:16
Four games of Spring Training is not something you want to make any shred of judgment on

What is it with Yunel Esobar? He hit in DC and was a versatile infielder and they traded him for a bag of balls. Now the Angels want to get rid of him? Is he that bad a guy?
Steve Adams

Seems to have a reputation as a negative clubhouse presence everywhere he goes, and he's not exactly a premium defender these days
Ok -- I've gotta wrap things up this week. Jason's chatting tomorrow night at 6:30pm CT. Jeff Thursday at 2 CT. I'm on Twitter: @Adams_Steve. We'll do it again next week! Thanks everyone
