Steve Adams
4:38
Gah -- I don't know. Off the top of my head we're big Pandemic fans, Machi Koro, Takenoko... I'd have to give it more thought. I don't have a Law-esque ranking already drawn out, ha.
4:39
Camel Up is fun in groups
Art Monk
4:39
Who starts in CF for the Tigers? Is Gose pretty much done?
Steve Adams
4:39
Yeah at this point I think they're looking at a platoon with Collins and Mahtook. I doubt Gose has any real future in Detroit.
Jesse
4:40
Last place in NL Central, Brewers or Reds?
Steve Adams
4:41
I like the Brewers over the Reds right now -- loss of DeSclafani hurts. But the Reds do have more young pitching with upside, so I don't give that answer with all that much confidence. Reed, Stephenson, Garrett -- lot of intriguing arms there. If you wanted to claim Cincinnati has a better chance, I wouldn't fight you on it too hard.

Is there snow where you are? 4-6 inches here.
Steve Adams
4:42
Yeah, but nowhere near the 10-20 inches they were predicting to bury Manhattan as of last night. Probably a similar amount here, maybe less. I haven't been outside or looked at my Weather app for a couple hours

4:42
Any chance the o's keep either of their rule 5 guys this year?
Steve Adams
4:43
Tavarez seems to have a better chance just because Santander hasn't even been able to play defense for much of Spring Training. If I were to place a bet, though, I'd go against either one of them sticking. Lots of outfield options there, plus they seem to like Gentry based on some tweets from Baltimore beat reporters
MLB trade rumors
4:43
How real of a contender are the Marlins? If the trio of the outfield goes big and Hech has a come back year I could see the marlins pushing for a wild card, even without Fernandez. Your thoughts ?
Steve Adams
4:44
Like the bullpen, not a fan of the starting pitching mix. Plus the Mets and Nationals are both going to be good. It's not out of the realm of possibility, but I wouldn't expect them to be a legitimate contender this year.

4:44
Do you see Ryu cracking the rotation for the Dodgers?
Steve Adams
4:45
If his shoulder holds up for the remainder of spring, yeah. But that's a lot to bet on. Seems likelier and likelier that Kaz won't be ready for the opener, though, so that helps to create an opportunity for Ryu. Now, betting on him to clear even 50-60 innings this year in the rotation? I don't know that I'd go for that.

4:45
What's your go to Opening Day food and beverage?
Steve Adams
4:46
I don't have a traditional meal/drink to celebrate Opening Day. Whatever sounds good -- and if I'm at a park, whatever is new and different that year.

I won't be at a stadium this season, but I'll have MLB.tv streaming through my TV, laptop and second monitor -- probably with three different games going at once. Can't wait, ha.

Can we watch the MLBTR draft somehow?
Steve Adams
4:47
I honestly do not know, ha. I suppose we could post the results or something if people were actually interested, but we've never really opened it up to the public before. If a bunch of people are interested in that, I'll run something by Tim?
DK
4:47
Don't limit yourself to 3 games on mlb.tv. Split screen it and watch 6!
Steve Adams
4:48
Ha, last year I had four games going at once (girlfriend's laptop open as well) and it was too much. Even with three I kind of find myself gravitating toward two of them more often than the third. So long as I'm wholly submerged in baseball and have a beer in my hand, though, I'll be happy.

Could Matt Szczur be a starter somewhere? I like his game and I'd hate for the Cubs to lose him because he's not left handed.
Steve Adams
4:49
I don't know that he'd start, but I think he'd definitely have interest from other teams if he's not going to make the Cubs' roster. Tigers, A's Braves ... I bet lots of teams would love to have him in the org.

2017 NL East Champs - Mets or Nats? I like the Nats but think Mets have overall better team.
Steve Adams
4:50
With the sheer volume of health question marks in New York, I'd give the edge to the Nats. But it's not like the Mets have no chance or anything.
Barack Obama
4:50
Brett Lawrie has a reputation for being a little...intense. How much does that affect the clubhouse. Do you think a 'clubhouse cancer' can be quantified in wins?
Steve Adams
4:51
Teams around the game are trying more and more to quantify the impact of clubhouse presence. Even more analytical executives are talking about the importance of a strong chemistry. I know Derek Falvey and Thad Levine have both spoken many times this winter about actually trying to quantify that value. A's are doing the same, as are I'm sure many many other teams.
DK
4:52
I find it interesting that Jordan Shafer and Christian Bethancourt are former Braves players. Is it just happenstance they both became pitchers after being fielders?
Steve Adams
4:53
Yeah -- happenstance. A lot of guys transition from the field to the mound. Many of them were two-way players as amateurs. Kenley Jansen and Chris Hatcher were catchers at one point, for instance. Sergio Santos went from shortstop to the mound. There are examples all over the game... those two were just trying to do both simultaneously, which is a little more unconventional but probably bears no correlation to their time with Atlanta
Adam
4:53
Is Keon Broxton breaking out this season?
Steve Adams
4:54
I really like Broxton, but I worry about his strikeout rate and general lack of contact limiting his ability to have a full-fledged "breakout."
4:55
That said, even if he hits for a low average, his ability to take a walk, strong baserunning, defense and power can make him a useful player.

4:55
The rangers need to do something with their pitching don't they? I know it's only spring training but wow the runs allowed.
Steve Adams
4:56
I don't think they need to do something with their pitching based on the runs they're allowing in Spring. I do think they need to do something based on the fact that neither Cashner nor Ross will be ready to go come Opening Day. Taking two of Griffin/Gee/Martinez/the rest of their fringe arms seems like a dicey way to open the season for a hopeful contender.

hey steve, is a hot dog considered a sandwich?
Steve Adams
4:56
Hell yeah it is

4:57
Is there even a 5% chance Torres makes roster out of Spring training..guys is crushing it this spring..
Steve Adams
4:57
Gleyber not breaking camp with the Yankees
Jeffery Todd
4:57
Are you pro or anti speeding up the game?
Steve Adams
4:58
I don't really think it needs to be expedited that much. I don't care about minor changes much. The automatic intentional walk, for instance, doesn't bother me whatsoever. But it also does virtually nothing to speed up the game. Trying to think of a medical equivalent to that... putting a Spongebob band-aid on a gunshot wound?

Will Steven Moya clear waivers?
