AvatarGreg Miller

Ashli Owens
8:39
I just got an email that two kids in my son's grade were in an accident and are in bad shape, one is barely hanging on and not responding to treatment. Pray for them too!

This weekend is key b/c you have to start thinking about Midterm on Tuesday...
8:38
But so far.. what I have always seen to be true is holding true.. the class averages are higher in Maymester...
Ashli Owens
8:38
Thank you!
AvatarGreg Miller

I need some epiphanies!
AvatarGreg Miller
I completely, 100% believe you.. I see it every year
8:36
Yes, for sure
Ashli Owens
8:36
I am struggling right now. Usually, I work very hard for my classes. I am not unused to putting in 100%, but this Maymester is much more challenging than I expected. I am having a hard time digesting all of the information. I know that it is not beyond me, it is just the amount of information that we need to learn in this short timeframe.

prolly should have pdf'd it before posting..
I think that worksheet is just a regular Microsoft Word file...
8:35
That's the reason why I pdf the exams and quizzes... that way.. that can't happen in postscript.
8:33
Yeah.. strange.. not sure why that wouldn't come thru..
Ashli Owens
8:33
Agreed, that character is not a "problem character" that I have seen before.
AvatarGreg Miller
But that's the ONLY thing missing in your screen shot
8:33
On my keyboard that I am typing on .. it's just to the left of the number "1" on the keyboard
8:32
That's really weird... it's a standard keyboard character
Ashli Owens
8:32
I missed it when I was looking, thanks for the page number.
AvatarGreg Miller
8:32
like on the bottom of page 20
You'll see that symbol in the CSM
So, that little "twiddle / wavy line" is a substitute for the words "has a normal curve with"
8:31
X~N(10, 5) means "X has a normal curve with mean 10 and standard deviation 5"
It's little what is called "twiddle".. like a little wavy line
8:30
The symbol that should be in there is  "~"
Ashli Owens
8:29
Yes
AvatarGreg Miller
8:29
Oh.. I see.. those empty boxes?
Ashli Owens
8:29
Thanks!
AvatarGreg Miller
8:28
Ashli.. let me go open my email to see what you are telling me...
Ashli Owens
8:28
Hi Dr. Miller, I just sent a screenshot to you in your email. Am I missing characters in my copy of the Practice with Standard Normal Calculations worksheet?
